Effective Induction really is a two way process… Induction What information do  students need to interest  them and give them confidence ? What information would be useful to you  to help you to target services to these new  customers ?
First thoughts…… Focus on the resources rather than the systems  in the first instance ! They will soon learn systems as they use  your exciting resources

Nothing beats getting in the car, going down the road to your partner schools and actually having a look around and a chat with the head, teachers, library coordinator and  children about their library, reading and information literacy. Staying to join in or run a session doubles the value of the visit and should give you a real insight into their policies, practices, attitudes and knowledge.

Nothing beats getting in the car, going down the road to your partner schools and actually having a look around and a chat with the head, teachers, library coordinator and children about their library, reading and information literacy. Staying to join in or run a session doubles the value of the visit and should give you a real insight into their policies, practices, attitudes and knowledge.
