4. 2. The Eco-Management and Audit
Scheme:
• The EU Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a premium
management instrument developed by the European Commission for
companies and other organisations to evaluate, report, and improve
their environmental performance
• EMAS is open to every type of organisation eager to improve its
environmental performance. It spans all economic and service sectors
and is applicable worldwide
• EMAS helps organisations optimize their internal processes, achieve
legal compliance, reduce environmental impacts, and use resources
more efficiently

5. 3. Project approach:
• The procedure applies to initiatives implemented in the project formula,
including projects indicated for implementation in the Strategy for
Responsible Development (strategic projects) and initiatives that, due to
their specificity, complex nature or high priority, were included by the
Management in the project portfolio (internal projects)
• The main benefit - the systematization of the process of organizing and
implementing projects and enabling the acquisition of current
information on the progress of the implementation of these projects
• The result - the number of projects which achieved the intended goals
within the intended time and budget increased

6. 4. Common Assessment Framework:
• The reasons:
- numerous organizational changes
- the need to improve the management system
• The result a comprehensive overview of the functioning of the
Ministry, including an analysis of the performance and
organizational potential
• The CAF model was used to diagnose the quality of
management in all its areas, and the diagnosis indicates
strengths and identifies ways to improve the Ministry

7. 5. Project - the Deming cycle:
• The project concerns one of the areas defined by the CAF methodology as:

• Its purpose is to identify areas of operation in which there are no
appropriate mechanisms of cyclical evaluation, drawing conclusions and
introducing corrections implemented
• The project defined those activities in which the full Deming cycle should
be implemented
• The project includes an educational and information component about
the Deming cycle and benefits
• Justification for implementation: consolidation, simplification of
procedures and inclusion of the cyclical evaluation mechanism along with
raising awareness of good co-management at the formal level
• Consequence of the CAF project implementation
