PROJECT MANAGER ( July 2009 – Till Now):
Dawlance is largest home appliances concern in Pakistan, annual production exceeding
1 million units. Country wide network of after-sales services with 03 manufacturing
facilities. Accountable for delivering large scale projects to achieve business objectives.
1 – H.C.F.C. Phase- out Implementation Project
(July 2009 – December 2013):
UNIDO funded project to save ozone layer and promoting green environment. As part of
Montreal Protocol, foaming plants using HCFC converted to HC gases, which are highly
inflammable. Stake holders involved were UNIDO, Cannon, TUV, ICI, BASF, ONSITE &
GOP. Cost of project was USD 6 million.
• Phase wise budget & capex plans, consisting UNIDO funding & group contribution
• Compliance report as per international T.O.R.
•Prepare project approval documents, feasibility analysis, pre-qualification notices,
tender & L.O.I. documents for local & international contractors / suppliers
•Keep strong check over all tasks, cost and resources associated with each phase using
MS-Project. Share progress reports to management via SharePoint app
•Weekly site and monthly PMO meetings to monitor progress against master schedule
and resolve issues and conflicts
• Promote & provide LWT through mentorship
• Keep eye on changing project features across globe & incorporating latest
developments to ensure max. productivity with cost benefits
• Co-author of environment of care (EOC) procedures, safety bindings sheets &

• Erection of nitrogen plants, water chillers & jacketed day tanks

2. 2 – Facility Development for Chest Freezer & DFD
(January 2008 –September 2010):
First time incorporation of 5 door refrigerator series in existing product mix. Leading this
most technical & innovative project from concept till completion, having project cost of
USD 4 million. Key aspects of project were:
• Identify and document high-level risks & design complexities based on environment,
historical data of product and judgment
• Project feasibility presentation comprising business objectives, project scope, execution
strategies & major milestones to B.O.D.’s for subsequent project approvals
• Assessed project requirements and timelines with all stakeholders, in order to establish
a detailed project master schedule with level 0, I, II and III provisions
• Continuous brainstorming & team building sessions, to encourage project team for
parallel workings
• Creating and maintaining close relationship with international supplier & consultants
including leading names KINTE, PARCO & JWELL
• Major modifications in factory layouts with provision of on-line material supplies
• Dismantling, rigging, shifting and installation of 108 nos. machines from KHI to HYD
manufacturing units

3 – EPS Plant Erection
(December 2009 – October 2011):
Responsible for completion of a very challenging & critical project with extreme
environment conditions.. Cost of project was USD 1.8 million. Some challenging projects
tasks were:
• Dismantling, shifting, overhauling and re-installation of steam boilers, steam pre-expanders,
block molding plant & silo distribution network, all are almost 15 yrs old and
in extreme rusted condition
• Laying of complex & extensive network of all utilities
• Construction of UG tanks and fire retardant wire cutting zones
• Innovative solution for reducing cost of cooling tower operations by making open
trenches for exhaust steam instead of closed loop piping
• Separation of pasting processes with punching processes by enhancing process layout
and modifications in material distribution route
• Install waste recovery system & save cost of PKR 3.5 million / yr
• Procurement of EPS plants from Turkey & erection in minimal time
• Save 13% cost against allocated budget through resource optimization
