PizzaHut pizzacrust. For about10 years straight,Fridaynightsinmy house were PizzaHutnight
complete withalarge pepperoni andextracheesecrust.

For a while,I'll admit - Istrayed.My body'sneedschangedandI desiredalighter,thinnercrust.For
those times,anotherfamouspizzachainfitthe bill.Foralongwhile,Icleanedupmyeatinghabits
and sawpizzaas the enemyandaccordinglyIstayedaway.Since havingmarriedhowever,Ihave
beendrawnback inby a husbandwhoisas marriedto PizzaHut pizzaas I once was.
PizzaHut isprobablybestwell-knownfortheirpanpizza - namedso because itisbakedina deep-
dishpan.Its crust isthick,goldenbrown,crispyandglazed withalightcoatingof oil which,although
perhapsnotthe bestchoice forhealthycholesterol,isirresistible initscrispycracklytexture.
Recently,I've reignitedalove affairIonce hadwiththe saladbar thatis available inmostfull-service
PizzaHut restaurants.I've alwaysbeenahealthyconsumerof vegetablesthankstoconstant
offeringsatthe dinnertable while Iwasgrowingup,butin recentyearsas I've uncoveredall the
healthbenefitsof consumingfreshfoodsfromnature,I've become somewhatobsessedandnow
crave vegetablesasmuchas I sometimescrave chocolate.
Now,one of my favorite thingstodowithmy husbandishave dinneratour local PizzaHut. He fills
up on pizzaandbreadsticks.I gorge myself onlettuce,carrots,broccoli,bell peppers,cheeseanda
drizzle of dressing.ThenIenjoyaslice ortwo of pepperoni pizza.ThatwayIget the bestof
everything- freshvegetablegreatformyhealth,cheesyirresistible pizzaandafullysatisfiedbelly.
PizzaHut's mostrecenttransformationhasbeenahighlypublicizedofferingof pastas.AmI crazy,or
doesanyone else rememberthatPizzaHut has alwayshadspaghetti andziti onthe menu?OK,I
understand - they're offeringNEWpastas,andtheywantto make sure we know about it.Point
taken.
Amongthe newpasta offeringsare arotini ina marina meatsauce,a chickenAlfredo,andamac and
cheese withbacon.
In myhumble opinion,theyare all deliciousalthoughIhave tosay the Alfredochickenwithits
smooth,subtle cheeseflavorisprobablymyfavorite.The meatymarinahasa somewhatspicykick
whichisexcitingonthe taste buds,and the mac and cheese iscreamywitha richmouth-feel.
All of the pastas are baked,andcome to the table witha lovelycrustof goldenbakedcheesy
deliciousness.
Whendelivered,analuminumtinnestledinside acardboardbox keepsthemhotandtasty until they
reach yourdoor. If you're a regularconsumerof take-out,pastadeliveredtoyourdooris a great
alternative tohavingpizzadelivered.
2. PizzaHut has come a longway fromthe darkwoodpanelingof 20 yearsago.Theyare emergingwith
a newimage to meetthe demandsof a new generation,andif theykeepturningoutgreatpizza,
freshsaladand terrificpasta,Ipledge thatfuture generationsof myfamilywillalsogetthe chance to
cut theirteethona nice,thickpizzacrust (andmaybe a piece of broccoli for a well-balancednosh).
