Firstly I met Rufat Dargahli in Norway 2010 during Tunza Children conference where he was elected as a
Young Ambassador on environmental issue for Asia region. Later he joined to ENO and started to act as an
active participant of Environment Online (ENO) Student programme in Azerbaijan. I have always found him
very diligent, communicative and cooperative. He significantly contributed to the ENO student network in
terms of leading the student groups skilfully for the role-plays and interacted the discussions plainly and
reasonably.
He was a leader of working groups and promoted the "Stop talking- Start Planting" campaign very
successfully in Azerbaijan. Due to his persistent lobbying activities to engage people in this environmental
campaign, he managed to access W channels to promote the campaign ideas and made a number of useful
statements such as creating an educational channel for kids. In recognition of outstanding a6hievement
towards green practice project in Azerba'rjan Rufat Dargahli was awarded ENO Environment Gold Award in
201L.
Rufat appears to me very motivated and competitive candidate with a keen interest in environmental
science and economics. lt has been evident in his ability to volunteer for many green initiatives.
In October 2o11Rufat Dargahli elected panel member for ACT NOW!" Forests for future - ENO
Conference in Joensuu, Finland. He was only student among Europeah Forest Institute, The Finnish
Association for Nature Conservation, University of Eastern Finland and e!c. representatives. He made
valuable speech and called people to join Tree Planting campaign and stop cutting trees. Later 2011 he
was Azerbaijani representative for Ahtisaari Day by ENO Program.
