1. Use the Marquee Tool to select an area of the image and press Alt+Del to add a new layer containing the selection. Apply a drop shadow layer style to add depth. 2. Transform the new layer and adjust its position, size, and stroke. 3. Invert the selection to apply effects only to the background layer such as blurring and applying a warm sepia photo filter.
