Re: Letter of Recommendation for Rowdie Erwin
To Whom It May Concern,
It is with great pleasure that I write this recommendation and serve as a reference for Rowdie
Erwin. I had the pleasure of getting know Rowdie over the past year as he was a student in my
undergraduate Marketing Research course. I have no reservations in naming him an excellent
student and a candidate worthy of serious consideration for a position in your organization.
Rowdie excelled in my classroom and I am confident that he will excel in your organization.
As my student, he quickly distinguished himself from his peers as possessing a keen intellect,
strong teamwork skills, and an uncommonly high level of maturity. He demonstrated excellent
verbal and written communication skills and navigated a course project involving an actual client
with ease. Simply put, he is above his peers with respect to his foundation of marketing and has
experience working with a client to design and execute a marketing research project. He is one
the select few students over my career who I have no reservations about putting in front of a
client. Overall, his academic contributions to my course reflects a student who is naturally
inquisitive, who is intrinsically motivated, who critically evaluates each decision, and who has an
appreciation for larger picture of the phenomena under discussion.
Outside of his academic contributions, Rowdie is a genuinely nice individual with the classic
Midwest work ethic. Rowdie is personable and has experience working in teams. I observed
him working with a diverse range of individuals and he continually demonstrated both a high
emotional intelligence and leadership ability. He will make an excellent addition to your
organization.
I have high expectations for my students and I am not easily impressed. Moreover, I do not write
a letter of recommendation for every student who asks for one. This letter was fun to write.
Rowdie is a talented individual and I wish more of my students were like him. Consider Rowdie
if you are looking for a coworker who will work hard, has a strong understanding of marketing,
is both curious and willing to learn, is effective in a team as both a leader and as a peer, and,
perhaps most importantly, is fun to be around.
