13. YLC Mix „n‟ Mingle
What: United Way‟s Young Leaders Council (YLC) will be hosting a Mix
„n‟ Mingle for Young Leaders in the Peel Region
Where: &Company: 295 Enfield Place, Mississauga
When: Thursday, August 9 @ 6:30 p.m.
Why: Meet other young professionals who have an active interest in
improving the communities we work and play in.
Their goal is to foster and strengthen both business relationships and
connections between different causes through networking and great
conversation, with a side of delicious appetizers.
Note: Drinks and food items outside of appetizers will need to be
purchased separately.

14. CivicAction is seeking two full-time fall interns for a 4-month
period (from September 5 to December 21) to contribute to
our current activities and new priorities for action. One intern
will support the activities on our new regional
transportation initiative and the other will support
communications and event planning activities across multiple
initiatives.
As an intern at CivicAction, you will have the opportunity to
engage with some of the most interesting and exciting civic
leaders in the Toronto region, including executives and
emerging leaders in the private, public and not-for-profit
sectors.
