Incident and Project Management for a major global communications company.
• Project Manager
o Tracking project progress through completion

sensitive milestones

Working with Instant Messaging, Email, and Phone Systems to connect to the
correct people to resolve the issue
Engagement of Development Teams (including Tech. Directors/Sr. TD as well as
management and Sr. Management) as needed to get correct people addressing
the incident
Sending of notification to a large audience on the progress and hurdles involved in
reaching resolution and communicating it in a way they understand.
Querying error database for impact
Down time justification (type of downtime, length, and degradation)
o Root Cause Analysis:
Host and drive root cause analysis meetings
Document and communicate out root cause findings
Assign, follow up on and close action items for improvement and/or long term
resolution for alerting, code fixes, and/or process improvements
o Leadership roles:
Taking lead IM role to facilitate calls progression
Preparing and sending leadership notification to the executive levels on outages

IT Help Desk for an Offsite Radiology Company
• Radiologist Support
o Aiding Radiologists in the understanding of software changes and addressing issues
o Confirming VPN connections to radiologists
o Remote connecting to radiologist’s computer for trouble shooting
o Checking on image transmission to radiologist’s computers
o Confirming and changing locations of where images are sent for reading
2. • Hospital Support
o Confirming VPN connections to hospital and its equipment
o Aiding in trouble shooting where transmission fails
o Contact with hospital site IT staff and techs to aid with testing of new equipment
transmissions
o Phone trouble shooting of web interfaces and narrowing area of failure to address
problem (site tech, interface, transmission, or server)
o Basic knowledge of crypto commands when working with VPN tunnels
o Addressing end user interface ease of use and clarity.
• In House Support
o Maintaining printers as needed
o Trouble shooting in house computers across multiple sites
o Front line phone support and redirection/escalation to correct departments
Senior Technical Specialist for Trade Show Support
• General
o Support of presentation rooms at MS shows
o Help Desk support for attendees at MS shows
o Support of Management and Press areas and equipment
o Training of new hire class and mentoring individuals
o Working with Beta software in a production/show environment and addressing issues
involved
• Area/Show Lead
o Gathering information from clients and show management in a professional
environment and manner.
o Installation and configuration of software as per client needs (Desktops, Servers, VPC,
and Virtual Server)
o Network design and layout based on space and computer placement
o Leading/Managing 10+ fellow techs and/or 100+ day labor in multiple areas on
multiple sites during show as well as set up and tear down
o Support of 30 to 1,000+ computers in up to 20 different rooms on separate sites
depending on circumstances.
• Exec Tier Technician
o Support of equipment needed for MS executives presentations

Support staff equipment (provided by show as well as staffs personal/work
equipment)
Backups and fail safes
o Responsible along with demoers for proper setup, projection, and managing of demos
in presentations (including training of demoers on how switching equipment works
and back up policies)
o Running/Managing of back stage presentation area. Including working with other
service provider in a professional manner while in a stressful environment.
Software Tester/Test Engineer
• Opening, reproducing, verifying and closing of Bugs.
• Imaging machine/Installing from ground up (OS as well as software being tested)
• Responsible for assigned area of software and associated test cases
• Independent as well as multi user testing as project needed
• Repetition of tasks to confirm functionality of the software
• Attacking the same area from multiple angles to narrow location of failure in software and fix
