Summary Roland has gained comprehensive experience in application
design, software development and large-scale project
management during his engagement with leading airlines and
global solution providers over the last 30 years. His experience
is based on project tasks comprising responsibilities from
programming up to project management. He was in charge for
development and implementation of business software such as
comprehensive customer information systems, airline
reservations systems, order processing, management
information systems as well as software migration, network
concepts and IT infrastructure.
Roland provides expertise in international software
development standards, interface connectivity and system
integration. With TIK Systems (Thailand) Co., Ltd. he
developed comprehensive software applications for financial
management information systems, banking management
systems, airline administration systems and as well gained
experience with software localization and project management
in Thailand.
TIK Systems merged with Mercator in June 2010. Roland was
appointed CEO of Mercator Asia to lead and manage the
integration and the continuity of the Avantik product
development.
In 2014 DNATA sold all of their third-party business to various
investors. Roland decided to retire from his position and shape
his own future.
Roland is married and together with his wife he enjoys
travelling and taking care of their cats and dogs. He speaks
Thai, English and German.
