2. Biography
Theodore Taylor was born in North
Carolina. He began his writing career
when he was only thirteen years old.
He also had many other jobs like
merchant seamen and a
documentary filmmaker. He is still
alive and now lives near the ocean in
Laguna beach in California.

3. Summary
On December 7 1942, Pearl Harbor was attacked by the Japanese. They sent
spy planes. Soon they came bombing Pearl Harbor and destroying the airfields
so we couldn't get into the planes. They caught us off guard we knew Japanese
planes were coming but they left came back and caught us when we were not
paying attention. This is a day the world will remember for ever. Later in the
book they took down The USS Arizona about 1,177 lost their lives on when the
Arizona was sunk. Later after a hard fought war the second wave came in. Read
the book for the ending.

Generalissimo Chiang Kia-shek- He was the leader of Japan when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor.
Franklin D. Roosevelt- was president at the time when Pearl Harbor began.
Frank Knox- he was U.S. secretary of the navy at the time.
Henry Stimson- Secretary of the war during the pearl Harbor
bombing.

Climax-when is when it was in the middle of
the battle when there were submarines and
battle ships involved.
Rising Action-The rising action was
when the first plane that came to Falling Action- when the Arizona
destroy Pearl Harbor. This leads up to was sunk by japan because 1,177
the climax. soldiers lost there lives.
Introduction- On December 7, 1942 Japan sent Conclusion- When the second wave
an attack on Pearl Harbor. They wanted to came in and attacked the japan and
control the whole Pacific Ocean so the only way when the ships went away and when
to do that was to take down Pearl Harbor and the were counting the bodies
make it a Japanese base.

9. Rating
I rated this book four out of five stars because there was a lot of action
and it was fast paste. I also love books on history and wars because it
interests me so much on all that has happened before I was born. And so
that I know what the soldiers did for our country.

Because it was a historic time for the
U.S. and this is the same it is also a
historic time on our history.
