2014-15 Researched, designed, and tested an alert system that notifies the user whenever there is an intrusion inside the vehicle, or the vehicle is being towed. We did this by using the Arduino microprocessor along with both a motion sensor to detect motion inside of the car, and two tilt sensors on both ends of the vehicle to detect when a towing was occurring. Our project also identifies the location of the missing vehicle via GPS technology, and when any of the sensors are triggered, our system, while using GSM technology, will send out a text message to the user including the type of incident that occured, the location of the missing vehicle, and a time stamp of when everything happened.
