Inventory Control Manager (2015- Present)
Responsible for semi- annual physical inventory for Saks, Saks Off 5 th
, and Lord & Taylor stores and
warehouses. Perform reconciliation of store and warehouse physical to book inventory. Work closely with
stores and warehouses to address inventory issues and make daily adjustments as needed. Work closely
with the warehouses to rectify transportation issues between the warehouses facilities and the retail
stores. Work with transportation carriers to insure timely delivery of merchandise to market. Worked
directly with Buyers, Merchants, and Store Managers to implement and train new procedures on shortage
and item accuracy.
TOMMY HILFIGER CORPORATION, Bridgewater New Jersey
Senior Financial Analyst (2009- 2015)
Responsible for financial reporting and analysis for the Retail Division. This includes but is not limited to
expense and capital budget preparation, the monthly re-forecast of revenue and expenses for the retail
locations, as well as the corporate departments expenses. Responsible for analysis of retail divisional
expenses and capital expenditures including the review of expenses versus forecast and budget. Work
closely with Senior Management in explaining significant deviations from anticipated results. Involved in
special projects as well as other miscellaneous duties within the department.
2. PHILLIPS VAN HEUSEN CORPORATION, Bridgewater New Jersey
Financial Manager – Logistic Services/Warehousing & Distribution Division (1998- 2009)
Responsible for managing day to day divisional financial operations, budget preparation, forecasting,
month- end closings, analyzing expense variances, account analysis, ad-hoc reporting, inventory
reporting, tracking spending on major capital projects, working with accounts payable department and
real estate payable department to ensure timely invoice processing, review and approval of divisional
travel and entertainment expenses, preparing year-end audit information, preparing year-end reporting
schedules (for 10K statement and client assistance package), working closely with Logistics Executive
Vice President and Group Vice President of Corporate Operations, and handling a wide variety of special
projects.
Accomplishments:
● Handles all aspects of divisional financial management, and presides over a $60 million expense
budget and a $30 million capital budget.
● Has overseen an operation which has met and exceeded all organizational objectives, and has
successfully developed and implemented countless new financial processes.
● Was a key player in the development of a new in-house store physical inventory program, which
eliminated the need for a third- party physical inventory provider, saving the firm several hundred
thousand dollars.
● Personally automated firm’s store audit program, which enabled operation to transmit reports via e-
mail from the field, rather than requiring personnel to return to office to file reports.
● While working in internal audit department, developed a new daily register report, which is still in use
by retail stores to submit their daily sales audit paperwork.
● During the acquisition of two major competitors, worked with new warehouse management personnel
in the successful conversion to company systems, resulting in a seamless and efficient transition.
Inventory Control Supervisor (1994- 1998)
Responsible for directing and reconciling semi- annual physical inventory for four company divisions,
comprising of more than 700 retail locations. Duties included managing daily inventory control
operations, overseeing monthly inventory closings and reconciliation, managing the control,
maintenance, and analysis of merchandising system (used for determining all purchasing and selling
decisions), and interfacing with merchandising, finance, warehousing, and stores to correct problems and
issues.
Senior Operations Auditor (1992- 1994)
Responsible for conducting compliance and operational reviews of in-store activities, systems and
procedures (to ensure that they were current and consistent with store operating requirements),
reviewing activities and procedures outside store control which had a direct impact on store performance,
conducting on-site reviews at retail divisions nationwide, interface with home office and field
management, report preparation, and the supervision of auditing personnel.
