PROCEDURE DETAILS MATERIAL Presentation Introduction of lesson theme, objectives and target language Time 5 minutes  The teacher informs students that they will hear a conversation about the formation ofcaves and life there.  The teacher will ask the students if they know caves, or ifthey have come in a cave or how caves are formed, and what animals live there.  Teacher projects a video aboutthe topic and ask questions: - What is a cave? - How is life there, who animals live there? - How caves are formed?  Students say their answer.  Teacher say the objectives for the class. PPT Video Practice Students work with the language. Scaffolding, prior knowledge, work Time 15 minutes  Students ovserbe pictures and read the flashcards. - T: say what you see in the pictures - Ss:Cave, erosion, stalactica, stalagmite, erosion, limestone, bats, snake.  Teacher tell tudents they have to listen and read corally the pronunciation of the words.  Students listen to a conversation and number the words according to they appear in the dialogue.  Teacher assigns to complete with main information. T: listen and extract specific information from the audio and complete this assignment. - Location of the caves: Cajamarca - Animals live there: bats and some kind of snakes - They are made of limestone:stalactites and stalagmites - Caves are formed by : erosion  Students write questions with the expressions above and interact with their partner. - Ss: What animals live there? What are stalactites and stalacmites made? How are caves formed? Flashcards Audio Notebooks Photocopies Production Students master and internalize language. This is the oportunity to apply the llanguage task  Teacher tell to students that they will work in pairs, they will have to read a short text and answer questions. T: Read the text on page 75, analize the pictures and answer the reading comprehension questions in your notebook.  Students read the text and they will write their answers.  Students compare their answers and read them in a loud voice.
