Aug ’13 – Present Kvaerner, Kvaerner Stord, Norway. – Electrical Technician
Working on the new construction contract from Lundin Norway to
construct topside installations for the Edvard Grieg development,
currently working in switch rooms installing and terminating fiber optic
cables and assisting in changes to the internal wiring and changing of
components of plc fire and gas panels and rio cabinets in the field.
Previously completed Eldfisk 2/7 S, a new intergraded platform with
wellhead and processing facilities.
Worked on a team which involved terminating various multi core cable
junction boxes plus the design and termination of rio cabinet termination
schedules.
Installed, MC checked, pre-tested & pre- commissioning on all installed
equipment.
Mar ’13 – July ‘13 kvent ltd Ireland
Works would have included designing terminating and commissioning
hvac systems in a family run ventilation company also installing
ductwork in same company.
Worked as a foreman in a project in Belfast (Northern Ireland)this
involved organising up to 10 men daily as well as coordinating with site
engineers and other trades in order to help the project run smoothly.

Statoil’s Kvitebjorn compressor module, worked on a team that was

involved in pre commissioning testing of cables and equipment.
Installed Ex rated equipment, glanded and wired to NORSEK standards.
Used Statoil’s PDMS software to assist in all works.

2011 - 2012 Langset/ Karsten Moholt, Westcon, Olen, Norway. – Ex Supervisor
Scarabeo 8 Project, Drilling Rig. Involved in the completion of the Ex
and Maintenance Register, which involved working with the Ex
registration team, and the Ex tagging team from Saipem. This work was
carried out while onshore and during Sea Trials of the Rig.
Duties included meetings with the client/contractors/DNV regarding the
installation of NORSEK standard equipment. Logging information for Ex
registration and MCCR for equipment onboard Rig, and logging data on
systems which included MS Excel and PIMS CMD (Completion
management system).
While onsite, was subbed out to Vassness to complete MCCR and Ex
Inspection on all fire and gas equipment onboard the Rig, this includes
smoke detectors, manual call points, heat and flame detectors, H2S and
HC gas detectors.
2011 Kverner/Stord Norway-Electrician.
Worked on the construction of the Aker Spitsbergen and Aker Barents
projects being promoted to team leader during my last 6 months there
which meant organising work for up to 12 men of many nationalities on a
daily basis.

General duties involved assisting BP engineers and technicians in liaising
with various vendors (eg installing switchgear with the ABB team,
helping install and test the ups and battery room equipment.
Later in the project moved on to doing atex standerd inspections on all

2008 – 2009 Horizon oil sands project Alberta Canada
Involved in various aspects of the new construction of a new oil
refinery plant in Canada in sometimes severe weather conditions
(sometimes -40 degrees Celsius) Duties mainly included tary work
installing a nd termination tempature probs and the likes,heat tracing
and trying to stay warm of course
2006 – 2008 Fabricom, Statoil Hydro, Mongstad, Norway. - Electrician
VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) recovery, this work
involved electrical and instrument installation, PT's,
PDTs, flow meters, flow valves installation, also numerous gas
detection system installations, and mechanical completion testing. Ex
Inspection & Testing, Commissioning of Instrumentation & Electrical
Systems.
EVM - combined heat and power plant purpose built
to achieve improved energy efficiency for profit
margin; job included installing instrumentation and electrical systems, heat
trace systems. I spent 3 rotations doing MCCR (Mechanical Completion
Check Record).
SMIL Project – I was involved with the pre testing of all electrical
instruments and cables for the instrument techs. I worked with them over a 4
week period of the shut-down of the plant.
Aibel Alveheim – Vetco, Haugesund, Norway. - Electrician/Team Leader
Calculating and packing MCT’s, terminations of essential services, whilst
being the Team Leader given onsite supervision duties, also, revising
drawings and compiling as built schematics on an FPSO oil recovery vessel.
Punching job pack’s, termination of electrical and instrument equipment.
2004 - 2006 Thorn Airfield Lighting, Sydney, Australia. - Electrician
Worked as a team Leader Installing terminating and testing new runway
lights in Sydney airport under strict safety conditions. Also involved in
erecting new runway signs. This involved working under strict deadlines and
also a lot of varying shift work.

who at the time were new in Ireland, Got promoted to foreman for the last 3
of these fit outs which were completed successfully ahead of schedule.
