Goal Realization One Day Plan
1. GOAL REALIZATION ONE-DAY PLAN Self Help Guide Today you are about to work through the alphabetical daily schedule, thus putting your, to do lists in order. Some of us have difficulty planning, therefore we are going to work through goal setup one day at a time, and taking ‘baby steps’ along the way. Throughout the process, you should start to see how much attention or focus you place on both long and short-term goals. This is the process of goal realization. Goal: No Clue Time Invested Activities: Goal: No Clue Time Invested: Activities: What I learnt from reviewing my goals, time evaluation, and activities: _____________________________________________________________ My findings has lead me to take action to: __________________________________________ To help you see how this works, I will setup my own goals, time, and activities to help you see where this is going and how it helps you to focus on the purpose. Goal: Write two books by next year: Purpose: To achieve completion of my books in the making: Time invested: 2-hours daily Activities: writing until my face turns blue Goal: Write five books in the next two years Purpose: one book is to become a bestseller Time Invested: 3-hours each day Activities: write, rewrite, write, rewrite, review, edit, and write some more. What I learnt from reviewing my goals, time evaluation, and activities: It takes along the lines of 10 months to one year for me to finish a novel. I have a small business in operation, in which I am working to expand. I realize that I need to find a boundary and limit in my plans. I realize this because if I do not have boundaries and limitations, I will be working to expand my business and my books will not see completion. I see that I need to assess and arrange my time so that I can work productively to continue my business, which harmonizes with my long-term goals. I see if I maneuver my timing right, I have a better chance of achieving short-term and long-term goals I have set for self. I see my activities are in harmony with my intentions, however I see that if I write without cease I will crack up and go to a nuthouse, therefore I need to add in a little time for self and entertainment. Now, I see beyond this, such as I have a problem with devoting my time to others rather than self. Therefore, I need boundaries; limitations and a change of mind to help me gain my goals, instead of helping others reach their goals only. I could go on with what I learnt and what I am focusing on from this test; however, the point is what do you see? Have you taking the time to take this test. If so what did you learn? Do you see how your activities fit into planning? Now we can move ahead to A: A: Write down on your plan what is most important for you to accomplish. B: Write down what is secondary of importance to your plans and goals. C: Write down what is least important but still plays a part in your life. For instance, I need to purchase a new coffee machine. As you write down the list from A to C, you will see areas of concern. For instance, it is important that I get a money order today and sent before I find my self with a delinquent bill. I also have to finish 27 articles out of a batch of 50 by tonight to meet a deadline. As you can see, I have two major concerns and two important tasks of priority to complete. What can I do? Well, first, I have a backup plan; therefore, I can mail my money order today and finish my task by the deadline. I am willing to apply all efforts within me to achieve my one-day goal. My least plan includes having fun, yet I know this is unrealistic since it will only pose setback. Financial issues is another area we can consider, since sometimes it sets us back from achieving our goals and at the same time hinders us from seeing the realization of our goals.
