Senior Program Director

● Sets the vision for the branch in the areas of membership, customer service, wellness programing, 
child care, summer day camp and family programing 
● Develops the vision, structure and strategies that line up with the organization's strategic plan in 
all areas of management 
● Leads Wellness Association's Program Operational Group ­ APOG helps develop the vision of 
the wellness while incumbassing the mission and the association's strategic plan 
● Association's lead expert in the area of health and wellness  
● Perform human resource duties, such as hiring non exempt and exempt staff, training and 
evaluating work performance 
● Drives the member service, member engagement and community involvement culture for the 
Ankeny branch 
● Organizes and plans multiple large annual fundraising events throughout the year 
● Builds authentic relations with members, staff, coworkers, area business and community 
leadership to advance the mission of the Y 
● Works closely to recruit, develop and coordinate volunteer efforts 
● Fully participants in the association’s Annual Support Campaign in raising philanthropic 
awareness and dollars to support the mission and strategic plan 
● Sits on multiple Association Program Operational Groups, committees and task forces to ensure 
fluid communication for all branches and address best practices in all managed areas 
● Association's trainer for full and part time staff in areas wellness and development of trainers 
● Helps in analyzing the association’s training needs, to develop new training programs or modify 
and improve existing ones 
● Evaluates new and existing branch programs to assess the need for changes, using information 
such as member surveys and general feedback from membership, staff and the community 
● Analyze operations to evaluate the performance for departments in meeting objectives, determine 
areas of potential cost reduction, program improvement, or procedure changes 
● Prepares, directs and coordinates all departmental budgets for programming 
● Monitors expenditures closely to ensure that they remain within budgetary limits
