3. Architecture to me begins from the line that meets
the sea, a singular linear line that divides the sky and the
sea, and from there, what we put forward to build a skyline
that slowly eats up that division line. That to me, is the
great beginning of a beautiful masterpiece.
Architecture is more figurative than it is physical.
Architecture to me could physically appealing but if I can’t
connect with it emotionally and mentally, it wouldn't mean
anything to me.Architecture brings a bittersweet feeling, at
times I’d struggle with it but the end result is what keeps
me going.Architecture takes me on a level no human
connection can make. It is a whole different experience to
me, it takes my mind out of this world and on a journey that
you’ll never be able to humanly experience.
How I was brought up as a child has greatly influence my
work to the way I work, from the way everything has to be
neat , clean and precise, from there on, I develop the
tendency to keep things clean, simple and organized.
I am not one for organic forms as it tends to look
overwhelming and messy and it will throw me out of my
comfort zone and being in an disorderly state affects way of
working which then affects my work outcome, thus why, I
tend to stick to very geometrical shapes and very straight
lines. With inspirations from Seksan Design and Tadao
Ando, I admire raw, clean and minimal.
From there on I’ve developed a design value that is
something very personal to me. From How architecture
begins for me, to what architecture is to me and how my
work ethic affects my designs. Design value for me starts
from the aesthetic design values, where I take the simplicity
and minimal approach. I tend to focus on clean geometry
forms and raw finishes giving buildings a clean and tranquil
look. After all those are taken into consideration, I start
looking into the environmental design values, where I focus
on green and sustainability.Along side the minimal
approach with simple geometry and concrete finishes, I
tend to focus on keeping the building green and focusing
on natural ventilation, using materials such as bricks and
ventilation blocks. When you put one and one together, it
becomes a piece of work I truly believe in.

8. The VIC
The VIC’s east facing facade receives most
morning sun, but with the angled facade
reduces the heat gain throughout the day.
Window openings are placed on the west
facade, allowing direct wind flow across the
building, reducing hot air build up inside.

23. The Recycling centre
The concept of recycling in Taman Desa is
merely a vague idea shared amongst the
older generation which caused the huge
break between our generation and
theirs.Henceforth the concept of unity.
Unity does not mean sameness. It means
oneness of purpose.

42. The LIBRARY
The library aims to be a safe
haven for the people of Klang,
allowing them to take shelter
and give the safety, whether is
finding a safe place in books, or
simply just a safe space for
people to be in.The library aims
to give back to what today’s
society has taken away from
everyone.A space to admire the
actual beauty of Klang’s society.
53. The hub
THE OPENNESS OF THE FACADE AIMS TO
WELCOME THE COMMUNITY OF KLANG
JUXTAPOSED WITH THE TRADITIONAL FACADES
THAT CUTS OFF THE PERMEABILITY OF THE MAIN
ROAD AND BACK ALLEY.
60. PROJECT: CO Working Space
THIS PROJECTAIMS TO MORPH THE IDEA OF LIVE,
WORK AND MEET,ALL IN ONE SPACE BUT STILL BEING
ABLE TO SEPARATE WORK AND PERSONAL.THE
CONCEPT BEHIND THE DESIGN IS TO KEEP THE THREE
SPACES SEPARATE WITH A CLUSTER TYPOLOGY BUT
HAVING A COMMON GROUND FOR EACH SPACE TO
COME TOGETHER AS ONE. ACTIVITIES IN EACH SPACE
CAN BE CARRIED OUT BOTH SIMULTANEOUSLYAND
SEQUENTIALLY FOR A EITHER SINGLE USER OR
MULTIPLE USERS AT ONCE.
4
62. RUANG³
RUANG³ HAS THE CONCEPT OF A PERFORMANCE,WHEREBYTHERE ARE
3 MAIN ACTORS WHICH ARE THE 3 LIVE WORK MEET SPACE,AND EACH
SPACE SITUATED ON A PLAZATHAT IS ELEVATED ON A PLINTH, CREATING
A STAGE FOR THE BUILDING TO SIT ON.THE LANDSCAPE ACTS AS THE
SUPPORTING ROLES AND THE USERS ARE THE AUDIENCE.
73. RUANG³
LIKE EVERYACTOR ON STAGE,THE CARRYA
DIFFERENT CHARACTER WITH DIFFERENT
PERSONALITIES,THE 3 SPACES IN RUANG³ HAS
DIFFERENT MATERIALITYTO REPRESENTTHE
DIFFERENT MOOD IN EACH SPACES, FOR EXAMPLE
THE WORK SPACE BEING A MORE SERIOUS AND
QUIET SPACE, USES VENTILATION BLOCKS AS THE
FACADE,WHERE PASSERBY CANT SEE WHAT IS
HAPPENING INSIDE,AND USERS INSIDE CAN
ONLY CATCH A GLIMPSE OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD.
FRONT ELEVATION
74. LEFT ELEVATION
THE MEET SPACE IS MORE OPEN TOWARDS THE
OUTSIDE WORLD, HENCE THE USAGE OF A LOT OF
GLASS,ADDING A WELCOMING VIBE TO USERS.
THE LIVE SPACE IS MORE LAID BACK,WITH A
MIXTURE OF BOTH VENTILATION BLOCKS, SOLID
MASONRYWALLAND GLASS, SHOWING IT OFF
THE BEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
76. BECAUSE THE WORK SPACE IN RUANG³ IS MORE
RIGID AND COVERED WITH VENTILATION BLOCKS,
SHUTTING THE INSIDE WORLD OUT, IT PLAYS WITH
DIFFERENT FLOOR LEVELS,ALLOWING USERS TO
LOOK FROM THE TOP TO THE BOTTOM OF THE
WORK SPACE, CREATING A WHOLE NEW REALM
FOR THE USERS INSIDE WITHOUT FEELING
ISOLATED IN THE WORKING SPACE ITSELF.
