EGAMOS Foundation (RAF) is a private,
voluntary, non-pro๏ฌt, faith-based, Non-
Governmental Organization focused on
easing the burden of widows, orphans and youth.
REGAMOS Foundation was founded in January
2018 with the passion of empowering widows and
less privileged. It was incorporated March 3rd
2020.
All over the world, there are approximately 100
million widows living in poverty today. Millions of
widows have been abused and millions have
been ostracized and abandoned around the
world, simply because they are widows. An
unknown number of widows have been targeted
for rape, torture and murder, others are forced
into prostitution, re-marriage and many are
victims of property theft, social isolation, physical
and psychological abuse. It is shocking but what is
even more shocking is how few people are aware
of this gross violation of Human Rights and yet
decide to look the other way. We at REGAMOS
Foundation have refused to look the other way.
We have decided not to abandon the orphans,
widows or their children and other less privileged
people in the society.
Since inception, the REGAMOS Foundation has
been carrying out several intervention
programmes to her targeted bene๏ฌciaries and
these programmes are categorized into
departments, namely; Education and Counseling,
Business and Economic Development, Health
Care, Vocational Training and Skill Acquisition,
Material Needs and Welfare.

7. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
We believe that women are key actors in improving
household livelihoods and industry competitiveness
and that their active economic participation enables
societies to grow and achieve results across economic
and social indicators. We develop realistic and locally
relevant gender-inclusion strategies, support women-
owned and women-operated businesses and the
entrepreneurial ecosystem in which they operate, and
build the skills and self-con๏ฌdence of adolescent girls
and young women to empower them to make
important decisions about their economic and social
well-being.
YOUTH DEVELOPMENT
We promote positive youth development by providing
young people with the knowledge and skills they need
to ful๏ฌl their potential. We work with local partners to
design asset-based interventions and deliver demand-
driven products and services that increase young
peopleโs ability to obtain meaningful work, engage in
value chains, access ๏ฌnance, and become leaders in
their communities.
The RAF Empowerment Programme (RAFEP) is
designed to provide business and live support
services to widows who are the breadwinners of their
families and vulnerable youth. Through this
intervention, the Foundation continues to create
conditions that enable our widows and youth to lead
lives with a reasonable degree of stability, support and
access to resources that are required to cater for their
basic needs, empowering them to ๏ฌnd satisfaction in
life and support their families. The Empowerment
Program is delivered through the following initiatives:
1. Microcredit Scheme (MICS)
The need for a microcredit scheme which can deliver
the worldโs smallest loans to the worldโs poorest
people has in recent years become increasingly
recognized. The RAF Microcredit Scheme provides
interest-free loans to widows and youth with a ๏ฌexible
repayment plan that spans over a period of 18
months. This program has been e๏ฌective in boosting
the economic activities of our widows and youth,
increasing their household income and enabling them
to cater for their families. To encourage the timely
repayment of the loans, they are grouped into Self-
Help-Groups (SHGs).
2. Skills Acquisition & Vocational Scheme (SAVS)
Widows are most times the breadwinners of their
familyโs and therefore require assistance in alleviating
the heavy ๏ฌnancial burdens they carry. Widows and
Youth need skill acquisition, long term support and
income-generating activities. The RAF Skills
Acquisition & Vocational Scheme (SAVS) is designed
to provide sustainable income-generating skills for
widows, vulnerable women and youth.
3. Small and Medium Enterprise (SAME)
The RAF Small and Medium Enterprise (SAME)
programme is created to enhance self-initiative and
encourage women, especially widows to establish
small and medium enterprises as an e๏ฌective income-
generating activity. SAME programme works to assist
widow and youth entrepreneurs by providing them with
training and the follow-ups required for them to
succeed in their chosen trade or profession. The
REGAMOS Foundation partners with developmental
organizations, civil societies and the private sector to
deliver this programme.
4. RAF Live Support Scheme (RLSS)
At RAF, we understand that a little help at a crucial
moment can change the lives of widows and their
families. Therefore, we provide live support through
counselling as well as monthly allowances for non-
active widows and orphans.
5. Agric-Business Scheme (ABS)
The RAF Agric-Business Scheme (ABS) is designed
to empower rural widows as well as vulnerable women
to work in the agricultural sector with access to
๏ฌnance, knowledge and training which will enable
them to have sustainable livelihoods through farming,
guarantying food security for their children.
6. Legal Support Services (LSS)
To help widows and their children assess their late
husbandโs or fatherโs assets and have claims to his
gratuity, the RAF provides free legal consultations to
hundreds of widows and orphans.

8. RAF Mentoring Programme
his programme is designed to mentor
Tselected young widow entrepreneurs, girls,
youth and orphaned school leavers to
become RAF Ambassadors with success stories
that can be emulated by other bene๏ฌciaries.
This program is driven through four initiatives:
ยฆ Widows-for-Widows Mentorship Programme
(WFWP)
ยฆ Orphans-for-Orphans Mentorship Programme
(OFMP)
ยฆ Youth for Youth Mentorship Programme
(YFMP)
ยฆ Girls for Girls mentorship Programme
(GFGP)
RAF EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME
The RAF Educational Programme (RAFEP) is
created to ensure that orphans and students from
less privileged backgrounds have continuous
access to high-quality primary, secondary and
tertiary education. The RAF GEP works to create
an environment in which all young people,
especially orphans have access to the education
to realize their full potential. Our approach
focuses on promoting and investing in issues that
will lead to quality education in close partnership
with schools, locally and internationally.
OUR INITIATIVES
ยฆ RAF Scholarship Programme (RAFSP): At
the RAF we believe that education is a right
not a privilege. Through this program,
widowsโ children and orphans receive free
education, fully sponsored by the Foundation.
ยฆ Community Impact Education Programme
(CIEP): This program is designed to provide
sustainable solutions to obstacles that
prevent children from less privileged
backgrounds from gaining quality education.
The REGAMOS Foundation works closely
with local communities and schools to
increase access to quality primary and
secondary education by improving the
learning environment for school children.
