2: Conduct during rehearsals - Did this person behave in a positive and
focused way during rehearsals? Assess their contribution to the success of
the rehearsal. Please be as specific as possible.
Rebecca was ready to rehearse and was already in the mind set of ‘Frenchy’ at
the start of the rehearsal. Throughout the first scene her facial expressions
were excellent. Rebecca has the ability to exaggerate her facial expressions to
react to others on stage and create an energy that reflects 1950s America.
Throughout summer nights she constantly looks intrigued and reacts to
whatever Sandy is telling the girls about in an excited manner. For these
reasons she is on target in playing the role of Frenchie, as she captures her
sweet personality through her characterisation skills such as voice and body
language. One way in which Rebecca can focus on is her energy when
delivering lines. For example the sleep over scene which contains stichomythia
dialogue that needs the energy to be high at all times.
