Front Cover Statement of Intent
What is the name of your Magazine
                and why?
My magazine will be called NMM (New Music Monthly) the reason behind
this is my magazine aims to bring new music to young music lover on a
monthly basis.

What will you music magazine be
             about and why?
My magazine genre will be Indie Music there reason I will be using this genre
because Indie music a new music genre which I want to make more widely
recognised, as well as develop a magazine dedicated to Indie music as the is
 not many.
Describe the design of the title?
I intend for my masthead to be a bold black and slightly transparent it will be
placed to the left of the page and a little space between the letters.
The font I will be using will be Vision Division which I downloaded from
DaFonts.com
Here are the possible masthead Fonts
What will be the dominate image on
        your magazine cover?
• The main image on my magazine image will be mid shot of two female the
reason I will be using this image is because I feel the image is a good
representation of modern Indie music and a creative and original photo.
What images will you be including on
  your music magazine front cover?
The two main figures will be the only pictures I will be using because I want a
simple layout and do not want to draw attention from my main image.
What are you thoughts on
     Representation as regards to your
       images and images and why?
The images I will be using will be a good representation of a modern Indie culture
however there is an urban feel to the images because of clothing the models are
wearing and the influence music has had on fashion, trends and taste. The main
image will represent the targeted audience and a typical reader.
Will your target audience find you
          front images appealing?
My target audience will find my images appealing because they have an edgy
feel to them however still being very commercial. The images I will be using
will appeal to my audience because the images I will be using will be a
representation on their music likes and lifestyle. The clothing the model are
wearing will be similar to the clothing my audience would wear which feel
would be appealing to them because they can relate to them.

                               Target Audience
What do the images tell your potential
target audience about the content of
           the magazine?
The images I will be using will tell my potential audience the genre of my
magazine is Indie music. As well as offering a magazine centred on Indie
culture the images I will be using will also have a modern and urban feel to it I
will represented through the clothing worn by the models.
WHO is the potential target audience for your
        magazine? HOW do you know?

The potential target audience for my magazine will be young 15-20year olds
who enjoy Indie music and want a way to learnt about new music and get an
inside look into the music world of Indie music. I know this because of the
representations convey by the images and as well as the research I did to
investigate how other magazines target and characterize their chosen
audience.
WHAT stories will be found in the magazine, as
depicted by your chosen cover lines? HOW do those
articles relate to the title of your music magazine?
• My chosen cover lines relate to my title NMM (New music Monthly) as
they offer new music for example one of my cover lines is “Top #1 Singles
and Albums” this article would bring readers new songs in one chart in
  one informative magazine.

                                Music
                                                                  Monthly
New
HOW many different fonts (style, colour and size) will you be
using for your front cover? Will your target audience find these
                     appealing? WHY OR WHY NOT?
• For my front cover I will be using 5 fonts, 4 colours and 5 font sizes. The reason I have
chosen to uses variety of fonts, sizes and colour was to add some originality and variation as
a pose to have on font size and one colour . As well as this the change of colour and size will
help my audience differentiate the main cover story and supporting cover stories. I believe
that my audience will find these fonts appealing because they are modern and unique to the
other font found on the magazines I research. As well as this there is a range of colours and
sizes which will be add depth to the front cover.

These are the chosen font I
      have on my front cover.
WILL your chosen font depict the genre of your music magazine
                             and WHY?

• My main two font one for my mast head and the other for my main cover line represent Indie
music because they are very contemporary and are not commonly seen this adds an air of
ingenuity. Indie music is a fairly new and this is why I feel a modern font will suit my
     magazine.
