WORK EXPERIENCE
Team Leader
Jack in the Box - Houston, TX - November 2015 to Present
Responsibilities
I am in charge of completing the proper food safety paperwork at the beginning of my shifts. I am responsible
for the productivity of my team and seeing that all procedures are followed to policy standards. I am expected
to make sure everything is clean, stocked, and ready for the next team and their team leader to come in and
work their shift efficiently. These are just a few of my duties as a team leader.
Accomplishments
I've learned what hard work trully is. Maintaining times and food quality, handling customer complaints with
the utmost professionalism, and sacrificing. Even though it is just fast food, it is definitely more in depth than
I would have ever imagined.
Skills Used
Time management, math, speed, and customer service.
Delivery Driver
Pizza Hut - Houston, TX - May 2015 to November 2015
Responsibilities
My responsibilities include delivering our products in a timely manner with a great attitude, answering phones,
taking orders, cleaning the store, and maintaining exceptional customer service skills.
Accomplishments
I really enjoy delivering pizza as I get to meet new people every day. I really enjoy interacting with customers
and working as a team.
Skills Used
Math was definitely a main skill. Being prompt and dependable are great skills.
Limo Driver
RAIL CREW EXPRESS - Houston, TX - June 2015 to September 2015
Responsibilities
Answering when you are called to pick up a Union Pacific crew. Getting the crews to their destination in a
timely manner. Maintaining the amount of iced water in the company van. Lastly, keeping up with the van and
making sure to report any maintenance issues.
Accomplishments
I got to meet a lot of, usually friendly people and talk with them about their lives as railmen.
2. Skills Used
Precision driving to ensure the safety of the railroad workers. Precision with time.
Custodian
The Cleaning Lady & Her Crew LLC. - Houston, TX - March 2014 to July 2014
I worked as a custodian for a small commercial cleaning company as named above. I cleaned club houses,
guard houses, gyms, and splash pads for gated communities in Houston, Humble, and Richmond, TX.
Co-Operator For Big Tex Fireworks Stand
Big Tex Fireworks - Houston, TX - December 2013 to January 2014
Responsibilities
My responsibilities here were selling fireworks, greeting customers, helping customers, stocking inventory,
staying over night, counting cash and reporting it.
Accomplishments
I was of big help to my supervisor/main operator as it was a twenty-four hour job for ten days straight. I came
to work whenever she called which relieved plenty of stress for her. I made sure to honestly report the earning
several times a day and honestly report inventory as well.I also hand noted every sale made from day one and
made sure others working in her stand did so as well.
Skills Used
Math was a skill used the most as we did not have a cash register only calculators and notepads. Memorizing
where things go and how much things are with out having to waste the customers time and look was also a
skill i learned and used. I educated myself on all of our merchandise so that I could help the customer find
exactly what they were looking for and help them find other things they would be interested in. I gained a new
love for fireworks!
I can honestly say this job struck the match inside of me that is burning to work with people everyday. I loved
communicating with new people and seeing them leave happy!
In-Home Caregiver
-Employed by my Neighbor - Houston, TX - August 2013 to December 2013
Responsibilities
My neighbor, Zackary Maines, hired me to take care of his father who had just had brain surgery. Each day I
responded to Mr.Maines's every need. I helped him to and from the bathroom several times a day. I helped him
bathe, and get around. I also cleaned his home and his wound. Through out our short time together I worked
with him to walk again and by the end of my term he was walking without a walker and even without a cane!
Accomplishments
I can truly say I am truly grateful to have had this opportunity. Not only is Mr. Maines like family, but to see a
man who had become incapable of lifting his arms or doing anything on his own walk around his own home,
able to make his own meals and use the bathroom alone and without even a stumble...it really does make you
feel good about yourself. Therefore, I think it is a great accomplishment!
Skills Used
Communication and my physical strength were the skills I mainly used. Understanding how Mr. Maines could
be feeling was also a skill I had to use. Putting his feelings before anyone else so that he can be the strong
man I've come to know he is.
