1. Program Educational Objectives
The Educational Objectives of the Department of Management Studies represent major
accomplishments that we expect our graduates to have achieved 3 to 5 years after
graduation. More specifically our graduates are expected:
I. To practice their professions conforming to Innovative and Managerial Skills.
II.To practice in problem solving and analytical attitude in international and
multidisciplinary environments.
III.To excel in communication Skills.
IV. To successfully adapt to continuous attitude learning and stay current with their
professions.
V. To formulate and adopt business policies and professional ethics, strategies and labour
laws
Program Outcomes
On completion of management studies program, the students will be able
a) to apply knowledge of Finance and Quantitative methods
b) to recruit, select and train the Human resources
c) to design and manage a system, people and process to meet desired needs within
realistic constrains such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, cultural and
sustainability
d) to function on multi-disciplinary teams
e) to identify and solve business / organizational problems
f) to understand professional, societal and ethical responsibility
g) to communicate and negotiate effectively
h) to understand the effectiveness of management techniques and solutions in a competitive
business environment
i) to recognize and engage in lifelong learning
j) to develop the capabilities of handling on contemporary issues and challenges with critical

Definition:
Principles: A principle is a law or rule that has to be, or usually is to be followed, or can be
desirably followed, or is an inevitable consequence of something.
Management: Management in all business areas and organizational activities are the acts of
getting people together to accomplish desired goals and objectives efficiently and effectively.
Management comprises planning, organizing, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an
organization (a group of one or more people or entities) or effort for the purpose of
accomplishing a goal. Resourcing encompasses the deployment and manipulation of human
resources, financial resources, technological resources, and natural resources.
Objectives:
1 This subject gives an overview of the theory and practice of management
2 The course will cover the evolution of management, its history, and the development of
important concepts. It will cover the basic functions of management: planning,
organizing, leading, and controlling
3 The objective of this course is to expose the theories of management, organizational
theory, and the practice of management in organizations
