Tourism Destinations in India.
Information related to places to visit,
accommodation, how to reach etc.
Tourists can get information but they are
non-commercials in nature. They also
provide authorization to the guides.
3. India Tourism
• India Tourism is a nodal agency of Ministry of Tourism,
Government of India .
• India Tourism takes care of Indian Institute of Tourism and
Travel Management (IITTM), National Institute of Water Sports
(NIWS), National Council for Hotel Management and Catering
Technology (NCHMCT) and the Institutes of Hotel Management
• India Tourism plays a crucial role in coordinating and
supplementing the efforts of the State/Union Territory
Governments, catalysing private investment, strengthening
promotional and marketing efforts and in providing trained
manpower resources.

feedback from the field offices.
n) Monitoring of Plan Projects and assisting in the Plan
formulation
o) Coordinating the activities of field offices and their
supervision.

6. My Responsibilities
• We, a group of students of our University
were selected as Project Intern and
deputed at India Tourism.
• I was a part of team, responsible for
Front Office Operations.
• The Assignment Period was from 27th
may to 22nd June 2019

Our responsibilities include :-
a. Provide information to the Tourist and assist them in
Planning their tour.
b. Issue Passes for different tourist spots in Kolkata
c. Excursion to Victoria Memorial Hall, Marble Palace,
Jorasankho Thakur Bari.
d. Volunteer and Assist in organising International Yoga
Day, organised by Incredible India , at Victoria
Memorial Hall .
e. Attend calls of Tourist and Guide them with relevant
information.
