2. Favorite assignments
One of my favorite assignments was learning about how the mind works and how our emotions can effect
our levels of success in the long run. This is something that really hit home for me because I have never
been able to keep my emotions in check. After reading the assignment it helped me with certain breathing
techniques to help with anger and depression.
Another assignment was our score cards we did at the beginning and end of the term because it showed
the progress that was made during the term. Whether it was believing in yourself. Or whether youre worth
more that you originally thought. I helped me realize I have a lot of faults but it’s okay because no one is
perfect.
The last assignment that really struck a cord with me was Journal entry 11 because it helped me realize my
goals and what I really wanted in life. It also helped me realize I needed to really focus in order to get to
my dreams and make it a reality. Knowing that there really is a goal is helpful because it can keep you one
track to getting towards it.
3. Favorite Journal
My favorite journal was number eleven because I got to really get into my “character” and
learn what I really want in life. Seeing and visualizing my goals helped me stay on track with
my classes and other aspects of life. This journal gave me a sense of hope and being honestly
it helped me a lot more than I realized at first.
Journal 13 was very eye opening when it comes to the use of my time. Finding out I spend
most of my time in quadrant 2 was very shocking. It made me want to relax and not do so
much for everyone else and help myself every once in a while.
Journal 23 was the most influential of all though, it helped me realize that harboring bad and
m=negative feelings toward someone and even a memory of it happening could really
influence my thinking and feelings. I think the most influential part was talking about a time I
was really angry because while I was siting at the table I could feel everything I felt that day
and actually cried in front of the family I was living with. I do not cry that often anymore
because I bottle most of it but as I felt my face get hotter with every passing second I realized
how important that pain really was.
4. Favorite Week
My favorite week by far was when we got to talk about emotions and how it
effects you physically and psychologically. The fact that one thing can ruin your
day made me feel not so alone and discussing our emotions felt very freeing and
let me know that other people felt the same way. The 30th was a very emotionally
filled day because of journal 23. It helped me realize that the pain is actually
important and helps me succeed in whatever I do in the long run.
5. Personal Scores
Accepting personal responsibility. 39 47
Discovering self-motivation. 67 60
Mastering self-management 36 38
Employing interdependence 18 26
Gaining self-awareness 42 49
Adopting lifelong learning 26 45
Developing emotional intelligence. 3748
Believing in myself 40 26
I have learned that I had a victims mentality before
taking this course. I learned that I really didn’t have
high score on many of these assessments and most
of them went up but not by much making me want
to work even harder next time I am in classes. This
course helped me realize that I need different
learning styles and that being overstressed in
detrimental to your physical and mental health.
6. 3 Lessons
One lesson is to keep everything neat and organized whether it’s homework or
actual work.
Plan for the worst, your router could stop working and if you don’t do your
assignments before they are due then you may have a problem.
Try and enjoy the assignments, it may seem tedious but you will actually learn a
lot of neat things that you may never have known before so get into it!
