ICT Requirements for Telehealth
                  Systems
 Ensure clients are aware of their rights and responsibilities with respect to
  accessing health care via telehealth technologies, including the process
  for communicating complaints
 Obtain consent for treatment from patients when required for invasive
  procedures
 Compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and accreditation
  requirements for supporting patient/client decision-making and consent,
  including protection of patient health information


 Policies and procedures for compliance with local legislated and
  regulatory rules for protection of patient health information
Telehealth Process
 Data captured or collected from one site; may be audio, video or digital.
    (clinical images or sounds).
 Central processing unit (CPU) or coder-decoder (codec) processes info
    (digitization and compression of mages and sound)
 Information is prepared for transmission (varies depending on mode of
    telecommunication used.)
