This is showing the entrance to a seminar held in June last year – it took place in World of Warcraft First library seminar to take place in World of Warcraft Focused on libraries and games Participants from Australia, New Zealand and USA speakers included Scott Nicholson, Liz Danforth and Peggy Sheehy Feedback showed importance of this kind of professional development so an occasional series of talks was started – focussing on games, libraries and education
Screen shot from rugame seminar in 2011 the names show the toons used in the discussion – and they are known as toons in this game (abbreviated from cartoons) not avatars the guild is called Where is the library – and yes it looks a bit different to all of us getting together today – a few more weapons are in the room Screen shot was taken in Ironforge library – dwarf stronghold

So if you can’t get to the talks : Transcripts of all the talks in the #rugame series http://gamesandlibraries.wetpaint.com/page/Edited+transcripts+of+talks The transcripts usually go live the same day as the talks
Lucas Gillespie transcript available from http://gamesandlibraries.wetpaint.com/page/Lucas+Gillespie+transcript This is not so you can read the actual transcript, but so you know the transcripts exist Transcripts not edited much - as want to convey the ebb and flow of discussions Lots of questions are asked Have had to experiment with how to ask questions – as the speakers don’t have the same body language queues – but it works well
