Snapshot report, membership QuickPolls and the consumer study, the Adventure Tourism
Market Study. Public reports are available in the ATTA Research Center online, and
Members Only reports are available to all ATTA Members on The HUB.
12. The 2015 Adventure Tourism Development Index (ATDI) assesses adventure tourism
potential for countries around the world.
The ATDI seeks to facilitate adventure tourism policy and planning to drive economic
growth that is environmentally and culturally sustainable. It uses 10 pillars, drawing
data from a range of sources, to gauge a country’s readiness to compete in the
adventure tourism sector.
Scores do not reflect a country’s current popularity or market presence in adventure
tourism, although in some cases a country’s current appeal may correspond with its
ATDI score.
