– It’s the warming of the air around the
earth as a result of the sun’s heat being
trapped by gases.
• Global warming:
– It’s an increase in the world’s
temperatures caused by an increase in
carbon dioxide.

To make something smaller or
use less, resulting in a smaller
amount of waste.
For example:
•Buy and use less
•Start making wise “package”
selections

25. Recycle
To take materials from items that
aren’t used anymore to make
them into brand new products.
For example: Throw your
waste into recycling banks,
separating the different
materials.

26. Reuse
Instead of throwing things away, try
to find ways to use them again!
For example:
•Use all writing paper on both sides.
•Use silverware and dishes instead
of disposable plastic utensils and
plates.
