5. 2.SUMMARY
• This report details a summer internship at Gujrat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) in Gandhinagar,
Gujrat. we visited in four different section related to electrical field. Which are…….
• CPEM (Coal Plant Electrical Maintenance)
• Testing of electrical equipment’s
• Switchyard
• EMD (Electrical Maintenance Department)
6. 3. Description of the internship
• Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL) is a wholly
owned subsidiary company of the Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB),
which came into existence in August 1993 after the unbundling of the

12. c) SWITCHYARD
• In an electric power system, switchgear is composed of electrical disconnect switches, fuses or circuit breakers used
to control, protect and isolate electrical equipment.
• Switchgear is used both to de-energize equipment to allow work to be done and to clear faults downstream. This type
of equipment is directly linked to the reliability of the electricity supply.
13. …CONTINUE
In GTPS two bus connection is used for the delivering of power to the grid. Both buses are connected with bus coupler.
There are five lines are feeding power to the grid. Which are listed below.
1) Chhatral
2) Soja
3) Ranasan
