3. DEFINITION OF HEALTH EDUCATION :
• A process aimed at encouraging people to be healthy, to know what
they can do individually and collectively to maintain health and seek
health when needed. ( Declaration of Alma- Ata , 1978)
• The process by which individual and group of people learn to behave
in a manner conducive to promotion, maintenance and restoration of
health.
