6. CONTINUING EDUCATION
It is planned activity and directed towards meeting the learning
needs available following there completion of college programme
to keep the registered the nurses abreast of their particular field of
interest.
Continuing education is a means of staff development which
assist the employee to improve the performance in her present
situation.
7. Various opportunities are available for nurses to work according to
their professional qualification such as A.N.M., G.N.M., B.Sc. Post Basic
Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, M.Sc. Nursing and Ph. D in Nursing.
The certificate courses such as intensive care, paediatric care,
ophthalmic care, operation theatre, premature care, kidney dialysis etc. and
diploma courses such as Teaching Public Health Administration, Psychiatric
Nursing.
To develop proficiency and skills, the nurse attends orientation
programmes, work-shops, seminars & conferences etc.
