“ There's a new adventure video capture company in town, and both Zeyez and GoPro would have good reason to be afraid. You may not have heard of Pivothead -- the company has had a remarkably quiet push
to market over the last few months -- but the video recording eyewear startup could very well become a household name after its first products hit the market... ”

“ On-person hardware is set to explode, providing the surprise we’ve been craving. Google’s recent decision to sell head-up display (HUD) glasses later this year caused a bit of a stir, and there’s no telling if the idea
will flop or change the game. But Google is not alone in this endeavor. In fact, HUD displays are commonly used in the military and for industrial purposes, so what is to stop them from trickling into the mass market?
Moreover, retinal displays are also in development. If you want cool eyeglass technology sooner, Pivothead video-glasses are due out next month. They’ll allow you to record anything you are looking at in high
quality. Some futurists envision all of this evolving towards microscopic, wireless, implantable devices linking neural activity directly to electronic circuitry. ”

Pivothead Video Recording Eyewear
Eyewear Turned Spywear
By Ben Bowers on February 23, 2012
“ GoPro may be the leading provider of tag-a-long video equipment when crazy adventures call, but that doesn’t mean their solution is the only way to let your body be the camera man. Pivothead is peddling a new
line of video recording eyewear. At the moment, four styles of glasses are available, all of which look like the typical shades someone like Kenny Powers might desire. ”
“ Pivothead’s clear advantage over other video solutions is the ability to capture a seemingly natural first person view of your lack of concern for safety. They’re also more discreet (re: less tumor-like)... ”

“ Pivothead has recently announced a thrilling eye wear that bears capability to record 1080p videos. ”
“ Interestingly, the camera within the device employs Sony’s CMOS sensor which is optimized to capture crisp clear images at a greater pace. It is even surprising to know that Apple’s iPhone 4 and 4S uses the same
sensor from Sony. The lenses include coating to avoid scratches, reflection and even possess capability to filter out unwanted frequencies of light. Now the company is on its way, doing all pre-launch stuffs and has
plans to launch the device... ” “Clash your hands and get a device for yourself soon... ”

Pivothead glasses record what you see in 1080p
By James Holloway
03:38 February 24, 2012
“ Pivothead's entry into the small market of sunglasses with built-in video cameras threatens to knock much of the competition into a cocked hat this April, thanks to its ability to capture 1080p video. The glasses
additionally include an 8 MP stills camera, a 44.1 kHz microphone...” “...and continuous auto-focus. ”
There's are features here to pique the interest of photographers. The stills camera employs a Sony CMOS sensor, optimized for capturing high speed images at good quality. CMOS sensors are used in both the iPhone
4 and 4S, though Engadget suggests the sensor in the Pivothead glasses may be a more recent 4S-beater. Stills can be captured in 3, 5 or 8 MP resolutions and there are burst modes to take three, five, 10 or 16 stills
in rapid succession. A variety of time-lapse options take either individual stills or bursts at 1, 8, 30 and 60-second intervals.
The glasses themselves have lenses that filter out unwanted frequencies at both the infrared and ultraviolet ends of the spectrum, and apparently include anti-scratch, anti-reflection and hydrophobic coatings.
