1. It is my pleasure to offer this recommendation for Pierre. In this letter, I would like to offer some
specific examples of why he would be an excellent asset in any environment. I have worked directly
with Pierre for at least 5 years. We have worked on several projects together and we work in the same
office. I am the Assistant Direct for Performance Management, which includes Quality Management,
Project Management, Technology and Informatics, and Population Health.
Pierre is a conscientious individual with a drive to learn and grow. He often seeks me out for new
opportunities. In my role in the organization I have found that Pierre will dive into new projects with
lots of enthusiasm. We recently started a project to research mobile computer carts for our clinics. For
Pierre, this effort involved managing vendors to demonstrate how their computer cart technology would
best meet our needs. Pierre was excellent with understanding the various battery technologies and
communicating the results of each visit with the vendors. The follow-up with both the vendors and the
internal stakeholders was excellent. Pierre was the lynch pin that pull us together to ensure we
complete the reviews. He understood that timeline was a pre-requisite for the budget timeline. The
documentation of the various options was presented in a clear manner, which made decisions much
easier.
Pierre practices excellent customer service at every opportunity. In the Director’s Office in our
organization, we are occasionally presented with sensitive situations. Whether the experience of a
patient or employee was less than optimal, this office must handle the event with care and high-
consideration. Pierre is excellent with diffusing people’s irritations to work on the actual problem and to
get the immediate needs met. I have witnessed this process on several occasions.
Pierre makes every effort to understand the needs of others and translate them into action. The
Director’s Office houses the senior leadership of the organization. As one would expect, it is a high
demand / expectation environment. People must act quickly and error free. Pierre thrives in this high
pressure environment. He is a careful listener and uses probing questions to gain a good understanding
of the needs. With this ability, Pierre will jump into action and deliver.
For Pierre privacy is paramount. Being both a healthcare organization and a high-profile area, we pride
ourselves on privacy. Pierre embodies this requirement. He has a strong concern for privacy and will
ensure that other understand its importance.
Pierre’s demeanor is approach about and easy. This creates an easy connection for visitors to the
Director’s Office. His attention to detail and awareness of the environment make him a reliable member
of the team. This interpersonal versatility makes Pierre an asset to our organization. He can move from
conversations with Senior Team members and clinicians, to supporting staff members of the clinical
team.
