Alevo is an energy storage company that has developed GridBanks, which are large battery enclosures that store electricity from the grid and release it when demand is high. GridBanks use Alevo's innovative battery technology, which has a long lifespan of over 50,000 charge cycles. By deploying GridBanks across power infrastructure, Alevo aims to reduce energy waste, optimize the grid, lower costs, and facilitate the integration of renewable energy sources.

Alevo is an Energy Service Provider dedicated to solving the world’s greatest
energy challenges by using a combination of innovative battery technology
and smart data analytics to store and release electricity when and where it is
needed: reducing energy waste, creating efficiencies, and optimizing the grid.
3. TODAY’S ENERGY CHALLENGES
The electric grid is the world’s largest supply chain yet it has no significant storage capabilities. Electricity is made and
consumed – or wasted in real-time. Growing demand, mandated regulations, security threats and increasing use of
renewables continue to put pressure on our aging grid infrastructure. Dramatic efficiencies can be realized with effective
storage integrated into the supply chain.
REDEFINING ENERGY
Alevo is an Energy Service Provider dedicated to solving the world’s greatest energy challenges by using a combination
of innovative battery technology and smart data analytics to store and release energy when and where it is needed:
reducing energy waste, creating efficiencies, and optimizing the grid. Its innovative battery technology and GridBanks
enable new source-agnostic architecture for electrical grids that reduce waste, greenhouse gases and other emissions,
create efficiencies and lower costs for the world’s energy producers.

4. WHAT IS A GRIDBANK
TM
?
GridBanks are energy reservoirs that store and deliver grid-scale electricity on demand. Alevo has invented a ground-
breaking battery technology that is the core component of its 2MW/1MWh GridBank enclosures. In testing, the Alevo
Battery Technology has been found to outlast all standard industry performance measures, with battery cells recording
no signs of increase in internal resistance after more than 50,000 charging cycles.
Alevo engineers have worked for a decade to develop the world’s first utility-grade rechargeable battery for the electric
grid. What makes the Alevo battery unique is its unequalled characteristics of safety and long life.

GRIDBANKS AT WORK
Deployment of GridBanks tied to
the electric grid across the globe
can solve the myriad of today’s
energy challenges.
GridBanks will cut the real cost
of electricity from generation to
transmission and delivery, while
gradually transitioning supply
from fossil fuel to renewables.
ALEVO BATTERY TECHNOLOGY (ABT)
Alevo Battery Technology brings the first inorganic lithium battery to the commercial marketplace, bringing
unprecedented attributes to the energy storage market. Due to its inorganic nature, the battery is safe, robust, and
reliable. Different to all other battery systems, the Alevo electrolyte is non-flammable and never forms dangerous
combustible gasses.

Alevo Analytics was created to determine the greatest economic and
environmental impact of GridBank energy storage technology when
deployed on the electric grid. GridBanks alone are not the solution to the
world’s energy issues. Where to place GridBanks and how to use them is key.
Alevo Analytics offers advanced analytics, simulation capabilities, business
intelligence and advisory services regarding the benefits of GridBank energy
storage, turning the potential of grid energy storage into a massive win for
the industry and the consumer alike.

WESTERN ELECTRIC COORDINATION COUNCIL (WECC) SIMULATION
Alevo Analytics simulated the benefits of the GridBank’s efficient fast ramping energy storage technology in the US
western grid, known as the WECC (Western Electric Coordinating Council). Alevo Analytics used historical Western
grid data to evaluate the system benefits of future deployment of GridBanks co-located with coal-fired power plants
throughout the Western grid in the year 2020. The results showed large operational savings through significant impacts
on water consumption, production, start-stop costs, effeciencies, and green-house gases.
SOURCE AGNOSTIC ARCHITECTURE
GridBanks are energy source agnostic. They can mitigate between low-variant sources such as nuclear, mainstream
sources like coal and gas plants and high-variant unpredictable renewable sources. GridBanks can also capture excess
power and recycle it for future use (time-shifting electricity).
