GridBanks are energy reservoirs that store and deliver grid-scale electricity on demand. Alevo has invented a ground-
breaking battery technology that is the core component of its 2MW/1MWh GridBank enclosures. In testing, the Alevo
Battery Technology has been found to outlast all standard industry performance measures, with battery cells recording
no signs of increase in internal resistance after more than 50,000 charging cycles.
Alevo engineers have worked for a decade to develop the world’s first utility-grade rechargeable battery for the electric

WESTERN ELECTRIC COORDINATION COUNCIL (WECC) SIMULATION
Alevo Analytics simulated the benefits of the GridBank’s efficient fast ramping energy storage technology in the US
western grid, known as the WECC (Western Electric Coordinating Council). Alevo Analytics used historical Western
grid data to evaluate the system benefits of future deployment of GridBanks co-located with coal-fired power plants
throughout the Western grid in the year 2020. The results showed large operational savings through significant impacts
on water consumption, production, start-stop costs, effeciencies, and green-house gases.
SOURCE AGNOSTIC ARCHITECTURE
GridBanks are energy source agnostic. They can mitigate between low-variant sources such as nuclear, mainstream
sources like coal and gas plants and high-variant unpredictable renewable sources. GridBanks can also capture excess
power and recycle it for future use (time-shifting electricity).

United States and Germany. Alevo is building a vertically integrated manufacturing and deployment organization,
creating a global energy storage business to work with the world’s largest energy companies.
As an Energy Service Provider, Alevo is dedicated to innovation in the energy sector and the
production of technologies that can deliver significant efficiencies. The company has
purchased a 3.5 million sq. ft. manufacturing facility in North Carolina to ensure that Alevo
can manufacture to the scale and capacity demanded. Production begins in 2015 and will
have the capacity to scale to 16GWh.

Alevo Analytics used historical Western grid data to evaluate the system benefits of future deployment of GridBanks co-located with coal-fired power plants throughout the Western grid in the year 2020. The results showed large operational savings through significant impacts on water consumption, production, start-stop costs, effeciencies, and green-house gases. SOURCE AGNOSTIC ARCHITECTURE GridBanks are energy source agnostic. They can mitigate between low-variant sources such as nuclear, mainstream sources like coal and gas plants and high-variant unpredictable renewable sources. GridBanks can also capture excess power and recycle it for future use (time-shifting electricity).
