prevented.
Although ethical regulations were set for
committee members, it is difficult to monitor
what goes on behind closed doors.
Many of the accusations that were made
about individual members were false, and
some of them were not supported by enough
evidence to convict.
12. With the of the nature of this crisis, I feel that Fédération
Internationale de Football Association did a great job
responding to the crisis.
The organization leaders immediately addressed the issued
and explained to the public through a news release on the
first day. It gave the organization a chance to gain control
before the media. Addressing it so quickly, and the constant
updates and information to the public and media also helped
show the transparency of the organization. I feel that the
transparency is important to build and maintain trust with the
stakeholders around the organization.
Also, the quick response by FIFA to investigate the allegations
was a smart decision.
13. Overall, the crisis that FIFA faced was
inevitable. However, the organization took
the necessary steps in a timely manner, and
continues to investigate and update media
and the publics. The media has responded in
a neutral stance, and it seems that FIFA is
working with the media to best represent the
organization.
