  2. 2. “ If you are online you are using social media” <ul><li>Social media describes the online technologies and practices that people use to share opinions, insights, experiences, perspectives and media itself. </li></ul><ul><li>Social networking is the practice of expanding the number of one's business and/or social contacts by making connections through individuals. </li></ul>
  3. 3. The numbers are outrageous! <ul><li>Twitter has about 4-5 million users, about 30% are relatively new </li></ul><ul><li>An estimated 5-10 thousand new accounts are opened per day </li></ul><ul><li>Traffic has grown over 600% in the past 12 months (Compete.com) </li></ul>
