Vox vision web portal (2)

  1. 1. 1 Leveraging the Mobile VoIP, Video and TV Revolution IP-based telecommunication Services Based on Proprietary Technology that Brings Revolutionary Cost- Efficiency to VoIP, Video, and TV Services
  2. 2. 2 VoX Communications A Global Technology Carrier “Power to the Cloud”
  3. 3. 3 VoX Communications was founded with a mission to build a technology platform that could support millions of subscribers of Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). VoIP requires a connection to the Internet, and the best on- ramp to the Internet is a mobile phone or tablet. The proliferation of smart phones and the activation of more than one million Android devices each day has induced VoX to evolve into a mobile content platform for the purpose of developing mobile applications and sending voice calls, video calls, text messaging, movies, adverts and any other data to a mobile device. • Apps are targeted to Android users today with iPhone app in Beta testing similar to its Android product • Recognized as a recipient of Internet Telephony’s award for Outstanding VoIP Provider in 2005 Overview
  4. 4. 4 The VoX Vision – Power to “The Cloud” The migration of voice and onslaught of video will continue to force transition into an all IP, Global network where cloud based solutions tear down current geographic market boundaries and influence incumbent carriers to be nimble and develop and release ‘quick to market’ products and solutions, seeing OTT providers as partners rather than competition. VoX is unique in that we are both a software development company AND a sophisticated, scalable cloud-based provider of voice and video. There is a global marriage coming between mobile VoIP and mobile wallet that will create a $300 Billion market There is an opportunity to partner with carriers that are late to the table with a mobile voice and video solution.
  5. 5. 5 Industry predictions – Mobile is Global Instat states - number of mobile VoIP users will approach 300 million by 2013 One billion people will be using mobile VoIP by 2017 – Juniper Research Gartner says mobile VoIP poses a huge challenge for traditional mobile voice providers “Mobile portal voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) offered by third-party application- based providers poses a huge and direct challenge to the $692.6 billion global mobile voice market, according to Gartner, Inc. Gartner predicts that over time traditional network-based mobile carriers face the real prospect of losing a major slice of their voice traffic and revenue to new non- infrastructure players that use VoIP”. Cisco says that mobile video will be 71% of all mobile data traffic within 5 years There will be 10 Billion mobile connected devices, including 2B M2M connected devices which will make up 5% of mobile traffic, surpassing human population.
  6. 6. 6 • Telecom is transitioning from “old school” thoughts and fundamentals and from “switching” to “routing” where the network is becoming global and LTE will only accelerate that global network. • “The Cloud” (Internet) is simply a seamless extension of the global network • Switches are being replaced by computers and software, and voice is simply one feature in a rapidly changing consumer market • For the past 8 years, VoX has developed a sophisticated component-based virtual cloud allowing the computing environment to develop and deploy rapid-built components • Architected and built to support white label, quick deploy branding from day one • Cloud based Network design provides a 10x cost advantage over a traditional telecom network • You no longer have to be a mobile carrier to sell mobile products • You no longer have to be a global carrier to sell global products
  7. 7. 7 Incumbent Carrier Conundrums Some are trying to protect existing revenue from the “New Age of IP” VS growing revenues with new products and innovations Some are partnering with OTT providers Some are forced to innovate because they see the threat as too big not to Even though the “Data Pipe Dollar” opportunity is great, the threats of loss of voice and SMS are still there for all to see, Skype, Vonage, Facebook etc. Social media is leading the “Content VS Pipe” revenue pull.
  8. 8. 8 Incumbent Conundrums - New concept - You don’t have to have network where you market Finally, some operators are starting to launch their own mVoIP services to compete with Skype and other OTT mVoIP players. Telefonica launched Tu Me - its own mVoIP and IM app - after having acquired the capability by buying VoIP startup JaJah in 2009. There are now 250,000 active Tu Me customers and, interestingly, the third-largest user base for Tu Me is in the US, where Telefonica has no network and is effectively an OTT player on Gringo mobile networks. No doubt this has led to voice cannibalization, but the operator says that Tu Me might be monetized in the future through advertising or partnerships. Most dangerous is to be paralyzed into “do nothing.”
  9. 9. 9 Advantages for VoX Cloud based Linux Clusters with virtual server technologies over IP Systems are license and royalty free Can enable a powerful patent infringement defense strategy Network elements at a fraction of the “Big Iron” costs Inexpensive network deployment and speed of installation. IP Infrastructure breaks down geographical and regulatory barriers IP empowers a “live anywhere works everywhere” strategy

  31. 31. 31 Summary and Highlights Unlike traditional telecom carriers, VoX is not locked to a geographical area that is served by a wire center VoX is an “out-of-the-box” cloud-computing carrier and has services in the cloud that people anywhere in the world can download Unlike other app providers, Vox has a revenue model, and in its most recent fiscal year, experienced gross margins in excess of 50% Although the market has demonstrated the value of free subscribers, a carrier with paid subscribers will become worth more VoX has the technology in place and is well positioned to bring on additional customers, which can be individual consumers or carriers
