1. Paul K. Fox is currently the State Retired Members’ Coordinator for the
Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), Founding Director of the
South Hills Junior Orchestra, Editor/Writer/Photographer/PR/Communications
Assistant to the Superintendent for the Upper St. Clair School District, School
District Representative/Steering Committee of the UPPER ST. CLAIR TODAY
magazine, Staff Announcer for “The Pride of Upper St. Clair” Marching Band,
Trustee for the Community Foundation of Upper St. Clair, and volunteer escort
for the St. Clair Memorial Hospital.
Retired June 2013 from 33 years in the Upper St. Clair School District and 2 years
in Edgewood School District (now Woodland Hills School District), Paul K. Fox
primarily taught Orchestra/Strings (Grades 5-12) at Boyce and Fort Couch
middle schools and the Upper St. Clair High School (USCHS), along with EL/MS/HS
choral music, music theory, music appreciation, general music, and elementary
band. He also served as Upper St. Clair School District Performing Arts Curriculum
Leader, Executive Producer of USCHS Fall Plays (29 productions) and Spring
Musicals (30 productions), and Assistant Sponsor/Business Manager of the USCHS
St. Clairion Yearbook.
Mr. Fox graduated with University Honors from Carnegie-Mellon University,
earning degrees in Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music/Viola (1977) and Master of Fine
Arts in Music Education (1979).
Mr. Fox is a sustaining life member of the Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia honorary music
fraternity. In addition to PMEA, he holds membership in the National Association
for Music Education (NAfME), American String Teachers Association (ASTA), and
Phi Delta Kappa (PDK).
