RRS has been providing lifting, moving, storage and transportation solutions successfully since June
2000.

Example of On-going Ship support via contract lift:
Oman ships 2 & 3
RRS supply on an as required basis, Appointed Person (AP), Lift Supervisor (LS), Banksman slinger (BS),
Containerised tackle loft and suitable craneage.
AP creates suitable rams to suit the standard daily requirements. AP is contactable by phone for support. AP
attends to assess new tasks or deal with issues. AP chargeable only for days required
BAE Systems provisionally book support for days required on the Thursday prior to the week ahead. If support is no
longer required changes can be made by 3pm the day prior without charge.
The LS & BS are both proficient at lifting and fleeting tasks and are able to work with the crane or to carry out fleeting
inside the ship. LS & BS can be hired with or without the crane. LS & BS only use RRS lifting and moving tackle
RRS ensure all lifting tackle supplied is suitable and tested & inspected
Should additional tasks be required, then additional labour can be added from RRS, LS still remains constant and
manages all RRS staff

15. Example of Fixed Price Task Support:
BAE Systems issued a scope of works to uplift and load 14 containers from the
quayside adjacent to Oman ship 2, containers to be relocated to Portland docks to
be in position ready for the arrival of Oman 2 whilst on sea trials. On completion of
trials the containers to be lifted as soon as the ship leaves port to be transported
and back in position on the quayside at Portsmouth Naval Base for when the ship
arrives back.
RRS sent an AP to look at the requirements and create rams, from the information
provided and the survey a fixed price was given to BAE Systems
RRS provided suitable transport, craneage, LS, BS & project management to
ensure everything was relocated and in place ready for the ship.

Rapid Response Solutions Ltd can offer several solutions for the purchase and or hire of lifting
equipment, whether this is a single one off item, a regular requirement or complete tackle store
management.
Purchase
If you prefer to purchase your lifting tackle and then look after it yourselves, we are happy to
provide competitive rates for any items of lifting or securing tackle you may require, most of which
can be provided same or next day if required. Being users of lifting tackle ourselves we are able
to provide excellent product knowledge to assist in your product choice. We are distributors for
suppliers that offer quality equipment at competitive rates
Managed
If you require a continuous supply of ‘in test’ equipment with little or no window for down time, we
can offer a managed solution. This could be a sealed tackle store kitted out with equipment
specified by yourself that is exchanged at 6 monthly intervals to keep within the statutory
requirements. Or loose lifting tackle that we attend site and inspect at regular intervals
Hire
We can supply lifting tackle on short or long term hire as required
Manufacture
For bespoke lifting tackle we can allocate a project manager to assess your needs. We will then
carry out design drawings for approval prior to building / fabricating. On completion of fabrication
we can carry out suitable load tests & CE marking. We can then deliver the equipment to your site
for use or store in our warehouse ready for use at a later date

RRS are pleased to offer a full range of testing solutions. Our engineers can carry out onsite testing as well as off site at our
facilities.

Design & fabrication
If you are unable to find the lifting solution you require or need assistance in turning your ‘sketch drawings’ into a working solution.
We can supply skilled, experienced CAD designers to draw up your design, check the calculations and provide build drawings for
approval. Once approved we can build your solution to specification, test, CE mark and deliver to your facility. As part of the
design process we can create repetitive action and fatigue reporting via CAD technology.
Inspect, maintain & repair
We can provide statutory inspections by trained, experienced engineers on an adhoc basic or as part of a regular maintenance
program. Inspections can be recorded manually or as part of our web based registry system. The registry system allows you
secure internet access to your lifting tackle register, your inspection certificates and a history of all lifting item.
Minor repairs can be carried out onsite, with major repairs coming back to our facilities for repair, retest and return.

27. Supply of Storage
RRS has 20,000sqft of warehouse located in Portsmouth.
The warehouse’s are capable of storing palletised items as
well as large oversize items. The site has forklift capacities
up to 10te and crane support if required.
Onsite we have 1.5 acres of open storage space.
We also have 7,000 sqft of internal storage space in
Havant and additional external storage. All storage area’s
are secure with monitored CCTV and emergency response
from an external security company. The Portsmouth
warehouse has List X status and houses MoD assets.
RRS have recently taken over a yard in Tewkesbury
approximately 2 miles from Ashchurch which also has
internal and external storage facilities

28. Container & cabin hire / sales
RRS have a fleet of lockable storage containers for sale or hire, (long or short term)
Containers and cabins can be built or modified to meet specific requirements.
With our rigging abilities to can install the cabins or containers into location normally inaccessible for
standard deliveries
Through our partner containex we can offer modular buildings and bespoke mobile offices. With our
capabilities we can transport, crane and build the modular buildings onsite.
