My experience and projects span across a wide array of consumer brands and activities
Whether it is the smell of freshly tilled dirt in Iowa or the magic in a child's eye at Disneyland, we live in a world of experiences.
Tapping into those experiences and the insights of what makes a great brand is one of my passions. Connecting those brands to

4. 4Success In Racing
Rubbin’ is Racin’ and it’s true for marketing, you need to engage
During the 1990’s and early 2000’s our company, Racing Champions, popularized racing collectibles and were the first to bring them to the mass-market
consumer. Leveraging relationships with NASCAR, CART, INDY, IRL, NHRA and others, I was part of a small team doing big things in racing marketing and
merchandise sales. Other firsts included the first team fire suits and tires embedded in trading cards, first 24K gold plated cars for the 50th Anniversary of
NASCAR and the first radio controlled NASCAR vehicles. We pulled official team rigs to the NASCAR event and owned Press Pass trading cards in Mooresville,
NC where I spent substantial time. We eventually took this company public on the NASDAQ and continued to grow into other channels and categories.

“Travel and change of place impart new vigor to the mind.” – Seneca
2015 was unusually busy for travel due to consulting and school, but it remains my greatest teacher
While I do enjoy travel, to me the greatest value is in what it teaches you. It requires a good measure of compassion, tolerance,
patience, some bits of wisdom and should be approached with a sense of adventure. Looking forward to a more domestic 2016
but always happy to travel individually and leading team to learn about new cultures and ways of doing business.

Digital Marketing and Social Proof Builder
Very visually oriented, I excel at leding digital marketing teams
My latest work is at www.lovebuildex.com
I was recently tasked with taking an entire new brand online. This included
leading multiple teams in the setting up of the factory in China, creating
the brand design, creating the product line, licensing brands into the line,
calling on retailers, developing the marketing and sales strategy, managing
photo and video shoots and much more.
Site is still under construction pending a second photo and video shoot
end of March in Chicago.

Photo and Video Shoots – Today Video Sells
For years I have taken a hands on approach working with talented creatives
to capture brand essence and excitement
My Next Shoot is April 4th in Chicago – very active in this respect
I really enjoy this part of the marketing process. The act of capturing
people interacting with brands is a true art. I am comfortable leading
teams in any marketing, photo or video setting, on air or in the green
room. The need for all companies to leverage content is a directive that
needs to start with the leaders at the top.

My Personal Milestones of Leadership
Leading the people - Managing the business
This is how I lead
Leadership Is Behavior, Not Position
Influence Means Setting A Personal Example
Leading Means Making an Impact
Leadership is Articulating Vision
Leaders are the ones who empower people to
discover and use their greatest potential.
Practice what you preach,
and the results will astonish
If you want to be an authentic leader, you should
have your unique contribution
Vision is what inspires people to take action and
go forward.
Promote The Welfare of Your People
Develop Leadership Potential of Your Team
Keep your Followers Informed
Leaders Are a Source of Power, Not the Power
Do what’s best for your team. Honest concern,
not manipulation, should be the goal.
Seek out the potential of your team and
make it a priority to build on this.
Be transparent and immediate – results will
follow as your team learns to trust you
Become a resource for your team. Use your power
and influence to give them the power they
need to succeed.
15. 15
My Personal Milestones of Marketing
Not just the strategy or the tactics, but the thinking that happens before either
This is how I think
Vision
How do we see our brand and does it align
with how our consumer sees us?
Reach
What content makes us the authority and
what like minded sites can we tap? What
actions will feed the campaign.?
Outcome
Let’s be specific about what results we
expect to obtain. Let’s make them realistic
and measurable.
Aquire
How many entry points do we have with the
target consumer? What makes us more
compelling than the competition?
Keywords and Stories
What is the narative that tells the story of
our brand? Where will we tell the story and
with what technology?
Convert
What offers do we have that cause the
consumer to take action? How many times
do we touch the consumer before they act?
Control Points
Where can we most easily access the
consumer of our product and how will we
control the message?
Engage
How good is our experience for the viewer
compared to our competion? Do we just
satisfy or do we really reward our fans?
