Summary of Key Experiences
I am a development practitioner with speciality in Child sponsorship management and
protection. I am a high-achieving, management oriented with excellent organizational,
communication and analytical capabilities in Sponsorship Management and Child
Protection. I have over six years of success in community development. I have also
contributed immensely to an improved child well-being in the Saboba District instituting
schedule controls, establishing, and using best practices.
I am a trainer in Child sponsorship management, Child protection and advocacy. I have
trained World Vision staff and community members on World Vision’s child sponsorship
standards and protection in Saboba, Zabzugu, Savelugu, West Gonja, Tolon,Gushegu and
Karaga districts. I am also a trainer of trainees in Citizen Voice and Action (CVA), an
advocacy model.
I have also participated in all Design Monitoring and Evaluation (DM&E) processes in
the Saboba area development programme of World Vision Ghana, giving technical
support on sponsorship and child protection standards in 2014 in collaboration with
decentralized departments of the district assembly.
I am currently the Northern Regional Sponsorship and Child Protection coordinator in
World Vision Ghana.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide training and coaching support to Regional and cluster staff, services
personnel and local partners involved in the process of technical and operational
management of sponsorship
• Ensure quality communication between child, family and sponsor and that all
sponsorship business processes including Sponsorship Operations Indicators
(SOI) and new initiatives respects WV standards at the cluster level
• Train partners, focal points persons, program staff and support services staff to
facilitate the implementation and monitoring of a system of protection and
reporting of incidents in the area
• Initiate advocacy at all levels for inclusion of child protection issues and work
closely with the Child Protection Coordinator and Sponsorship Manager to ensure
that child protection strategic objectives are implemented in communities in view
of reporting cases of abuse and the availability of reliable statistics to good
analysis.
• Initiate, plan and supervise activities on parental awareness, empowerment and
involvement of children in the implementation of the program, decision making
and other requirements in the targeted communities
• Engage/involve all programs and support services staff and partners in the
technical and operational management of sponsorship for an effective and efficient
monitoring of indicators of well-being of children in the targeted communities.
• Support programme Team Leader/ ADP Manager in effective program/project
planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting process relevant to assigned
areas to enhance community participation and ownership of program and project
activities.
• Facilitate on-going monitoring and evaluation of projects and programs within the
LEAP platform and ensure that learning and documentation of lessons learned and
best practices inform management decision making.
• Participate in carrying out needs assessment and reviews in communities to
determine sponsorship and development interventions that are required to meet
CWB objectives. Sensitize and educate communities on sponsorship processes for
community involvement and participation in the process.
3. • Participate in all Design Monitoring and Evaluation (DM&E) issues in the ADP
providing the sponsorship perspective and contribute to learning and innovation
and excellence in national office.
• Build capacity of communities to prepare and respond to emergencies, especially
around children in emergencies.
• Participate in the preparation of project budgets at the ADP level and analysis of
the sponsorship/development linkages and develop integrated monitoring plan and
report on it regularly.
• Carry out performance reviews for all Child Welfare Supervisor (CWS) and
Sponsorship Tracking and Enhancement programme (STEP) administrator and
ensure appropriate action is taken to address gaps.
• Facilitate the review, entry and analysis of STEP data into a format that is useful
and accessible for management decision making in programming for Child Well
Being
• Ensure all new partnership sponsorship initiatives are implemented successfully in
the ADP such as administering STEP, SD, SD+, DI and other sponsorship
software at the ADP level.
• Build relationship within communities as catalyst, broker and facilitator, working
with partners and various stakeholders towards high community involvement,
support and participation in program planning & implementation with
involvement of relevant stakeholders.
Achievements
• Built capacity of staff and community members on child monitoring protection
standards and as contained in World Vision partnership standards
• Given technical support to all seven operational districts of WVG in child
sponsorship management and protection
• Facilitated the implementation of Sponsorship Management project for five years
• Facilitated the implementation of Education and Livelihood projects for one year
each achieving over 95% execution rate.
• Selected as one of the 10 top most best ADPs in child sponsorship in the
partnership and received global filming team to show case the achievements in the
West Africa region of the World Vision partnership
• Facilitated workshops in other Area Development Programmes on Child
Sponsorship Management.
• Participated in all Design Monitoring and Evaluation (DM&E) issues in the ADP,
redesigned the Saboba ADP programmes in 2014 in collaboration with
decentralized departments of the district assembly.
