ENGINEERING PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Project: CFD – Supersonic Flow over a 2D diamond shape wing
 Developed a MATLAB code to calculate temperature, pressure and lift and drag coefficients for different Mach number
(1.5 - 4) and angle of attack (10 – 30 degrees).
 Simulated the behavior of shock and expansions waves in Fluent software.
 Compared the analytical and numerical results and plotted them for different points and angle of attacks.
Project: Wind Power on Lake Superior (Team of three)
 Divided the project into Farm Layout & Power Transmission, Foundation and Economics Analysis.
 Analyzed the Lake Superior area for seabed depth, shore distance wind speed & directions and power transmission
networks.
 Selected the farm layout and the number of turbines based on economics and foundation.
 Reached a positive decision that there is a possibility of a wind farm on Lake Superior.
Project: Mathematical Modelling to increase the efficiency of Horizontal Axis Wind Turbine
 Designed the wind turbine Blade with NACA 0013 airfoil for certain twist and length parameters.
 Designed the wind field with different parameters including turbulence and viscosity in Q-Blade software.
 Simulated the behavior of wind turbine and compared coefficient of power with Betz limit.
 Collaborated with the team of three to develop a MATLAB Code to get analytical results and compared them with the
experimental ones.
