PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCES
From Dec 2009 to 2015: Head of EMEA Finance and Operations at Adobe Systems
Adobe Systems is a global leader in digital marketing & digital media solutions, well-known also for its historical
key products like Photoshop, Acrobat and the Creative Suites.
I worked for them until the end of 2015 and then I left, when my team’s responsibilities were moved to a shared
service center in India and this made my position redundant.
My primary role was to provide extensive business partnering and financial support to the top EMEA stakeholders
and Sr Regional/Functional management teams, demonstrating excellent analytical, problem resolution and
decision-making skills. I was expected to enable and influence key decisions for both internal and external leaders
that affected all aspects of revenue, headcount and expenses.
I was also Office Manager and legal representative for the Adobe's Italian subsidiary, in charge of ensuring local
processes, practices and controls were in place to comply with corporate policies and local statutory requirements.
Together with that, I was responsible for EMEA reporting and Finance Systems as well as I was the leader of the
new special finance projects to be rolled out in EMEA (I have also implemented SAP in Italy and other countries).
Key Responsibilities:
• Ensuring Regional financial performance and processes adhere to the highest standards of predictability and
integrity, thinking strategically and using analytical approach;
• Organizing and presenting strategies, business priorities and driving internal communications;
• Owning the end-to-end Enterprise & Channel program processes - understanding value and business objectives
as well as supporting managers to drive impact and effectiveness of various incentive programs and influence
behavior through insightful analysis, key metrics etc;
• Building and running innovative commercial business models, ensuring compliance and effectiveness;
• Driving a strategic team and liaising with the other organizations internally (Legal, Rev Rec, HR, Sales Ops etc)
as well as developing productive relationships with key EMEA stakeholders and support them through
intelligence, supporting data and reporting package;
• Orchestrating process for collaboration and driving efficiencies to achieve business result;
• Providing guidance on cloud and licensing trends by major products as well as on SAAS business;
• Measuring success against key metrics, identifying areas of weakness and proposing solutions;
• Managing Regional revenue and opex submissions for the Annual and Quarterly Budget Plans, understanding
market trends and seasonality issues as well as liaising with key stakeholders;
From May 1998 to Nov 2009: Sr Manager, Head of Southern Region FP&A, Sales Ops, Deal Desk &
Accounting (Italy, Iberica, Middle East and Africa) at Adobe Systems
My primary role was to provide financial and business support to the regional management as well as to drive the
local team in charge of accounting, payroll, statutory requirements & tax. I was responsible for business partnering
with the Country Managers in Italy, Iberica and MEA, business modelling and analysis, revenue reporting and
forecasting as well as HC's and Opex. I was in charge to weekly discuss Enterprise deals pipeline and opportunities
to close, providing guidance, direction and support to the Regional Sales Management.
With my team, I took care also of M&A’s (started by Adobe Corp), Sales Ops functions, Sales Compensation, HR,
Deal Desk, Rev Generating Contracts review, Revenue accounting support for deferrals and releases on projects,
Revenue Recognition and deal structuring support to regional sales teams on complex multiple-element Enterprise
transactions.

From Nov 1992 to May 1998: A/R & Credit Controller at Smith & Nephew Srl
One of my first business experiences was at Smith & Nephew, English company leader in WW healthcare (Medical
& Surgical fields).
I got in a couple of years the main responsibility for the Credit Collection & A/R Department, cooperating day by
day with the Sales Directors, granting credit and extension of payment terms to customers, and demonstrating good
aptitude for managing and sustaining client relationships.
I was accountable for the entire credit process, including the consistent application of a credit policy, periodic
credit reviews of existing customers, and the assessment of the creditworthiness of potential customers, with the
goal of optimizing the mix of company sales and bad debt losses.
I handled the most important reports, including statistics as D.S.O. and receivables-aging, the cash target for
treasury needs, the bad debt reserve analysis for the balance sheet and the main credit collection cases, also through
legal firms.
Moreover, I moved to Genoa in 1996, in order to manage all the finance aspect related to an acquisition.

Information technology: excellent knowledge and practice of SAP R3, SAP Business Warehouse & Analyzer, IBM
Cognos & TM1, IBM AS400, Tableau Software, Microstrategy Channel Link as well as of the most important
software applications for PC (Windows). In my role, I’ve developed high level skills in Excel and in all the other
Microsoft tools as well as in Adobe Acrobat Professional etc..
