Teaching Approach: Based on Communicative Approach and Practice-Presentation-
Production (PPP) method.
Integration of skills: What skills will be integrated and how?
Listening and speaking skills will be integrated through the use of songs, a video and the
interaction between students and with the teacher.
Materials and resources: class CD, PC, board, puppet, pictures, TV.
· Pedagogical use of ICT in class or at home: in this lesson, children will listen to the Hello,
and Goodbye song from my computer, loudspeakers will be used. Also, students will be
exposed to English language through the use of two videos. The purpose of them will be
to revise face and body parts.

Seating arrangement: students will be sitting at their little tables in circles, in groups of
six. In one group there will be seven learners. They will stand up and move around the
classroom to sing and dance songs.
· Assessment: what will be assessed and how. I will check that students understand and
identify the new vocabulary by using pictures and a song, and by asking What´s this/
What are these and Yes/No questions.
3. PROCEDURE
ROUTINE ( 5 min)
Purpose: to start thelesson, get students into themood for work, establish rapport.
I will enter the class and with a warm smile greet the kids as usual: “Hello students”. They will
answer “hello Teacher”. As I always do, I will show them immediately the class puppet and with
another voice I will say” Hello kids”, so they will answer “hello Cookie!”
They will notice that Cookie brings an envelope but I will leave it together with Cookie on the
desk.
Then, I will ask them “Are you ready to sing”? They will answer “yes”!
We will sing, act and dance together the Hello song.

They will probably answer all together and shouting “happy!!”

Purpose: to revise parts of the face and body.
I will start the class inviting students to watch the videos from last classes about face and
body parts. Then, they will stand up and move around the classroom singing and dancing.
They really loved these songs so it is a great opportunity to revise while naming each part of
the body.

PRESENTATION (5 min)
Purpose: to expose students to authentic use of language and learn new vocabulary
about parts of the body: HAND, FEET .
6. I will peep in the envelope I will elicit possiblebody parts… mmm, is it a body? Are they
eyes?mmm. Then, I will show a bit of the hand or feet, so they try to guess. Then, I will
show them the complete picture and name them.
It´s a hand. It´sMY hand.

After they repeat, I will say Show me your handschildren(miming) . great!Now, show me
your feet. Fantastic!!
I will take one of the monsters fromlast class, they will point and repeat the parts of the
body and face while I mention them.
7. Transition: awesome kids!Now, let´s draw your hand.
DEVELOPMENT (10 min)
Purpose: to help children identify, name and practice new vocabulary about parts of the
body.
I will ask students to draw their hands in a worksheet. When they finished, I will call each of
them to show me their hands and elicit “My hand”.
When they finished, I will hang their hands on the wall so they can see all their classmates´
productions and be proud of their work.

CLOSURE (5 min)
Purpose: to revise vocabulary playing a game.
I will explain “Simon Says” game. They will really enjoy it!
I will pre- teach “touch” and we will revise all body parts having fun.
