Organic farming avoids synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and relies on organic materials like manure. Panchgavya is a bioenhancer used in organic farming that contains cow dung, urine, milk, curd and ghee fermented for 7 days. It provides nutrients and microorganisms to improve soil health and fertility while controlling pests and diseases, increasing yield and quality at low cost. Panchgavya can be applied as a 3% solution through spraying, seed/seedling treatment, or mixing with irrigation water. The total cost to produce panchgavya is approximately 1,675 rupees, making it an inexpensive input for organic farmers.

What is Panchgavya ?
 Panchgavya is special bioenhancer also called as
“Panchakavyam”.
 Main Ingredients are Cow dung, Cow urine,milk,
curd and ghee….

6. STEP:1
5 kg Cow Dung
Mix with
1 kg GHEE

7. STEP:2
Mix remaining ingredients with stirring…..
2 Lit COW MILK 2 Lit Curd 3 Lit Cow Urine

8. Ferment for 7 days with
twice stirring per day……

like N, P, K and micronutrients which are required for the

11. Spray system:
3% solution is effective. 3
litres of Panchgavya mixed with every 100 litres
of water is suitable for all crops.
Flow system:
The solution of Panchgavya
can be mixed with irrigation water at 48-52
litres per hectare either through drip irrigation
or flow irrigation.

12. Seed/seedling treatment:
3% solution of Panchgavya
can be used to soak the seeds or dip the seedlings
before planting. Soaking the seeds or dipping the
seedlings for 30 minutes is feasible.
