What is a mosaic?
A mosaic consists of a design made of small pieces of coloured
stone or glass.
5. Other famous Gaudi mosaics in Park Güell?
Sea Serpent is the focal point of the park is the main terrace, surrounded
by a long bench in the form of a Sea Serpent. To design the curvature of the
bench surface Gaudi used the shape of buttocks left by a naked workman
sitting in wet clay.
Dragon Fountain is a multicoloured mosaic
dragon fountain at the main entrance of Park Güell.
7. The film director Tim Burton Batman used Gaudi’s architectural
designs as inspiration for the sets of Batman Returns.
