• In line with the development of the Regional Autonomy, the
ESDM Education and Training Agency was formed,
including the Centre for Training and Education in
Electricity and Renewable New Energy (KEBT), which was
elaborated in Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources
Decree No. 150 of 2001.
• In 2010 it was restructured into Electricity, New Energy,
Renewable and Energy Conservation (PUSDIKLAT
KEBTKE)

Regulation of the Minister of Energy
and Mineral Resources No. 13 of
2016 concerning the Organization and
Work Procedure of the Ministry of
Energy and Mineral Resources, the
KEBTKE Education and Training
Centre changed its name to the
Human Resource Development
Centre for Electricity, New Renewable
Energy and Energy Conservation
(PPSDM KEBTKE)
• The task of the PBTDM KEBTKE is to
carry out Human Resource
Development in the fields of electricity,
new renewable energy and energy
conservation.
• Issuance of Decree of the Minister of Finance No. 965 /
KMK.05 / 2017 in 2017 PPSDM KEBTKE is changed to
Public Service Agency (BLU PPSDM KEBTKE) added
the function of HR in the electricity, New Renewable
Energy, and Energy Conservation for the Industrial
sector
• Started an effort to implement a large-scale certification.
• Started various other supporting business efforts.
• Remuneration does not burden the state budget (since
2018).

Rapid growth of electricity demand in Indonesia and the Government’s RE target on it’s energy mix, has put PPSDM
KEBTKE to a more strategic position, specifically on the duty to providing competent and qualified electrical and
technical personnel working on the energy sector in Indonesia. To strengthen the preparation of human resources in
supporting renewable energy growth and energy transition, PPSDM KEBTKE continues to refine and add various
norms, standards, procedures and criteria (NSPK) which are needed as a legal basis recognized by all stakeholders.
Currently there are around 640 occupational competencies that can be served / implemented. The refinement of this
NSPK continues to be carried out for all types of renewable energy commodities including geothermal.
In order to prepare for the development of technology 4.0 and also face various situations that become obstacles to
modern learning (for example, the Covid19 problem), PPSDM KEBTKE has also perfected distance learning-based
learning methods. This method has been implemented during the Covid19 pandemic period and has received legal
recognition from both the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and the Ministry of Manpower (cq. BNSP). During
the period July - September 2020, this method has been implemented to support workforce competence in various
industries.
Anticipation of technological developments and lessons learned from the experiences of countries that have advanced
in the use of EBT continue to be carried out both institutionally with international institutions, and by involving business
entities that have international reputations. This international cooperation continues to be strengthened through
dialogue and agreements based on G-G with NRE partner countries
