>Cylinder head made of aluminum alloy, which is light-weight and excellent in heat radiation
>A center plug pentroof combustion chamber
>Cross-flow type of intake and exhaust layout
>A direct driving type valve train, which increases rigidity and reduces mechanical loss
>Valve clearance adjustable by tappet
>Cylinder head bolt tightened in a plastic range in order to stabilize bolt axis strength and to improve reliability
Combination meter has been totally changed.
For keyless push start model, ignition mode indicators (ACC, ON) and push indicator are located in tachometer area (tachometer model) or left end of the combination meter (non-tachometer model).
Remote controller low battery indicator is used for keyless push start model.
-It is possible to have odometer, trip meter “A”, trip meter “B”, instantaneous fuel consumption, average fuel consumption and driving range be displayed on information display. Every pushing of indicator selector knob changes item on display.
“RANGE” stands for distance which can be driven with fuel left in the tank.
-Combination meter calculates fuel consumption using running distance during a certain period of time and fuel consumption signal sent from ECM through CAN communication to combination meter and makes LCD (fuel consumption) display it.
-Fuel consumption display can be selected among “instantaneous fuel consumption display”, “average fuel consumption display” and “driving range display”.

Basic operations in the service workshop
Description
For periodic maintenance, the technician primarily inspects the functions that are necessary for ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle. The inspection is performed as follows:
1. Operation inspection:lights, engine, wipers, steering, etc.
2. Visual inspection:tires, exterior appearance, etc.
3. Periodic replacement parts:engine oil, engine oil filter, etc.
4. Tightening inspection:Suspension, exhaust pipe, etc.
5. Oil and fluid level inspection:engine oil, power steering fluid, antifreeze coolant, brake fluid, etc.
Refer to the Repair Manual for details on the inspection items, including the standard values, tightening torque, and volume of the lubricants.
Engine compartment:
Check oils and fluids.
CoolantConfirm that there is coolant in the radiator reservoir tank.
Engine oilUsing the dipstick, check the engine oil level.
Brake fluidCheck that there is brake fluid in the reservoir tank of the brake master cylinder.
Washer fluidUsing the level gauge, check the washer fluid level.
The purpose of this oil and fluid inspection is to determine if there is a minimum amount of oils and fluids available for starting the engine or operating the wipers during the periodic inspection. For details, refer to lift position 7.
Remove the oil filler cap (in order to drain the engine oil).
