This system for R&D, aims to gather information from data providers and aggregators, share experimental results, apply prototypes, and provide demonstrators.
Current R&D activities address:
-Aggregation mechanisms for linked data
-Aggregation mechanisms for IIIF based on Activity Streams 2.0
-Aggregation mechanisms for IIIF based on IIIF Collections
-Aggregation mechanisms for IIIF based on Sitemaps
-Aggregation mechanisms specific for Schema.org metadata (e.g. HTML Crawlers)
-Aggregation mechanisms for the WWW (HTML meta, RDFa, RDFaLite, Microdata, etc)
- Conversion of Schema.org metadata to EDM
- Metadata profiling

Future work
A tool for IIIF + SEO + Europeana
PublishMyIIIF (PuMI)
● A tool for Cultural Heritage (CH) institutions that have a IIIF service and want to maximize the
discoverability of their digitized CH objects, in Internet search engines and Cultural Heritage
aggregators.
● PuMI provides discoverability functionality by implementing some key technologies and W3C
recommendations for interoperability of IIIF services with Internet search engines, Linked Data, and
CH specific portals. The key technologies are Schema.org, Sitemaps, HTTP Content Negotiation,
microformats, RDF, and IIIF Change Discovery.
● To enable the functionality provided by PuMI, a data provider needs to have a running IIIF server,
implementing the IIIF Presentation API with structured metadata
● Tool will be shared here:
